I just wanted to let you know I woke up thinking the exact same thing.  Thoughts as soon as I opened my eyes: "August 8, 8/8, something may happen today."  And I hadn't thought a thing about that date or 8s prior to that. Then the first thing I read after I got up was about the 88th floor and a fire. Interesting!
