Hi Susan, re your post:I couldn't agree with you more!We understand there is a call to holiness, repentance and a serious, true walk with the Lord, proving our abiding in Him. Amen. But, I agree, as you say, these posts, videos, and "prophecies" cause despair, not hope.I know they rob me of my hope of salvation.I know I will never be "good enough to go".Thats why the Lord commanded us to :"Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthyto escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:36They bring us under heavy condemnation, and constant fear that we might not make it.The Lord said we are to work out our own salvation, yes, with respectful fear andtrembling of a Holy God. But it is HE! HE who works in us TO WILL and to WORK for His goodpleasure, not us. The cross gives us hope. We hope in our salvation, not in our own works andability to be holy, other wise, we would be doing it all ourselves and what would we NEED the crossof Messiah for?If I thought I was good enough to go in the rapture on my own assurance that I am walking holy,I would instantly be disqualified by my self righteousness and pride.Romans 7 and 8 explains all.The last thing a true lover of Messiah and His atonement ever WANTS to do, is to sin.We LONG to please Him.1 John 3:22"and whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight."Thanks again Susan for the word of hope!JDSiegel
