I read this in Don Dickerman's newsletter
He deals in deliverance
It has to do with Altaring our opinions
That is, placing our thoughts and opinions on God's altar
Prayer proceeds discernment
Too often we rely on human wisdom

The phrase I quoted has to do with a woman in the above article that believed she has the gift of prophecy
She began manifesting signs of inner trouble when she had a friend prayed for deliverance of demonic strongholds
However this lady did not wish to be prayed for.
Perhaps she thought that if she got rid of these things she would lose her gift.
Therefore the phrase.
