"Neil Lipkin & the Dream of Indiana University"

Readers -

I was both shocked, amazed and excited to read Neil Lipkin's dream found here:

... about Indiana University at Bloomington, Indiana. The whole account of the recurring dream is quite fascinating.

The Lord Jesus saved me in the late 1970's when I was in college at IU in Bloomington, and I have a lot of affection for both the school and the city. It is one of the most beautiful college campuses in the USA, without a doubt.

Since Neil signs himself as

"Jewish Christian and teacher of end time Bible prophecy for over 32 years "

...I'm wondering if he knows that two well known Messianic Christian ministry leaders got saved while going to college there? namely ...

Zola Levitt and Paul Wilbur.

IU has a famous music school there, and I believe they both went there initially for music studies. Both of these men God has used mightily to awaken the current generation of Christians to the rich and vital heritage which is found in the Jewish roots of Christianity.

you can find out about their ministries at these links:

Zola Levitt (now deceased, but the ministry is alive and well)

Zola's is one of the outstanding ministries on the earth - imho.

Paul Wilbur

I knew Paul Wilbur slightly, and the other members of the Christian band Harvest (Jerry Williams, Ed Kerr & Paul Wilbur). They were really just getting started, and were recording their second album. I remember sitting in an auditorium on campus hearing Paul give his salvation testimony during one of their concerts. He made a statement that interested me. He had found out that he had Jewish roots in his family, and that he was trying to find out as much as he could about them. My wife and I went to Jerry William's house for dinner, and while there I had a private conversation with Jerry. He shared with me that Paul had really had a hard time for a while struggling with staying in the band. He felt like God was leading him in another direction - that direction ended up being towards Messianic Israel! Oh, the depth and the wisdom of God! God surely knew what He was doing! Paul Wilbur's ministry is outstanding. awesome worship leader, song writer, etc. imho.

On another interesting note, while at IU, I was in a Bible study with a wonderful brother named Phil, who was on a Dental School track at IU. He planned on becoming an Orthodontist. I remember clearly sitting in the grass outside the (famous) Indiana Memorial Union on campus with him discussing teeth. He was fascinated with all things "teeth". I can't say I was equally as fascinated with all things "teeth". We were both young Christians. I had a conversation with him in which I made the comment that before the Fall, The Bible states that the animals were all herbivores. He was a quiet guy but laughed out loud and said "Clay, that's impossible! You can look at the design of certain animal teeth and tell they were clearly made for ripping, tearing and chewing meat." I then pointed him to Genesis 1:30, which gave him pause. He didn't know this verse at all. He sat there for a minute with his hand over his mouth. He was a very thoughtful person, and I could see on his face that the Bible had intersected his passion for teeth! I believe he went on to become an orthodontist, though I'm very sorry to say, I lost track of him after college.

Thanks to Neil for sharing.

I hope you're right brother, and that we will all meet very soon in "that extremely beautiful place."

Jesus is Lord!
