"Re: about female
angels"
Doves, Pastor Cole and lilly Star,
This subject about female angels is intriguing. Not attempting
nor intending to be contentious, but I must attempt to dissuade
from this. Nowhere is the term "angel" connected to a female
form in the bible IMHO. If we look at the context over the
preceding and following chapters of Zec. 5, we see that some
significant references are made.
" BRANCH " VS. 3:8 & 6:12-13, is undoubtedly the King
and Saviour Jesus, and the promise of gathering the remnant and
bringing them back to the land and taking away their sin.
References are made to the Northern and Southern Kingdoms of
Israel." Fig tree" is said to reference Israel." Vine" can be
Jesus the "True Vine" or Judah as the source.Bringing back or
graphing back into the true vine nationally and redeemed is
implied The two women with wings of a stork with "wind" in their
wings can be symbolic of "all Israel"being" scattered like in
the "wind" to all corners of the earth, where the Lord will
eventually bring them back from, and bring under the fig tree
and the vine( vs.3:10). "Storks" in heaven(s) know by instinct
their times , but Israel does not know the Lord's timing. Jer.
8:7)
The two women suspending the talent of lead symbolizing
wickedness can also be seen as the two harlots, Judah and
israel, (Ez.6, 16) who commit whoredoms and abominations with
the nations and their gods.
Even as i believe in the literal interpretation of scripture, we
cannot ignore Prophetic symbology that angels present from The
Lord and in which the prophets behold.
Since angels otherwise mentioned are always male and are never
mentioned as having wings, we must conclude other possibilities.
We must know the terminology of the Spirit's Prophecies, their
significance and symbolic implications, and their cross
reference applications, I believe.
