Long time reader, rare poster.  But I really think Ron Reese and Gerald Almond are hitting it on the head with an April 11th 2012 start point for the Great Tribulation.  Remember Scripture, it all starts with Israel being overrun by its enemies, and the abomination that causes desolation entering the temple shortly thereafter.  When this happens, and I agree with the 11 April timeframe, then hack your clocks for 1260 days ----prepare for a bumpy ride, and witness your hearts out for the Lord.  This 1260 days will take you exactly to Yom Kippur, 23 September 2015, the Day of Atonement.

Luke 21:20-24.  "When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. 22 For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. 23 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. 24 They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled."

When this happens, hack your clocks.  Let's look at Scripture supporting the 3 1/2 years duration for the Great Tribulation.

Revelation 11:2-3.  "They will trample on the holy city for 42 months. (3 1/2 years) 3 And I will appoint my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth."

The two witnesses will start their ministry for 3 1/2 years at this point.  Elijah kept it from raining for 3 1/2 years, and he'll do it again starting in April!!!  Amazing.

Daniel 11:1-2  "At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise [taken out of the way?]. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then.  But at that time your people-everyone whose name is found written in the book-will be delivered. 2 Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt."  How long you ask?

Daniel 11:7  "It will be for a time, times and half a time. (3 1/2 years)b]"[b] When the power of the holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed."

September 23rd, 2015 is EXACTLY 49 prophetic 360 day years from the recapture of Jerusalem in 1967.  And the Zondervan NIV Study Bible gives 30 AD as crucifixion.  Interestingly, add 2000 prophetic 360 day years to that, and where does it take you?  Fall, around 9/11, 2001, when the last 14 years of history started (reference to Genesis/Joseph in Eqypt, 7 years of feast, followed by 7 years of famine).  The 7 years of famine started in the Fall of 2008.  So we're approaching the final 3 1/2 years now.  This Fall could provide the game changing world events that lead up to the overrun of Israel.  The UN vote to make Palestine a state is scheduled for 20 September.  It could get ugly after that.  Will the US veto???

Another interesting tidbit, if anyone's reading up to this point.  Add 1000 prophetic 360 day years to 2015, and it takes you to the year 3000 as the very end of the millenium.
