This is a very good article on why there
will not be a going back to the old Temple
Sacrifices for the true believers, be they Jew
or Gentile. The sacrifice has been
made.......IT IS FINISHED....right
out of the Perfect Sacrifical Lamb
Himself said at the same time that the
Temple High Priest uttered the same
words. Then the Temple Veil was rent
from top to bottom........no more separation,
no more rituals. This brings us to to
the question of who it is that is planning
that temple and why they find it necessary to
copy the old temple ways exactly in every
way. These are the immitators of God,
those planning on usurping the Lord
Himself. Just as this article tells
us...Jesus spent about 3 1/2 years in his
ministry and the Bible clearly tells us that
A/C is allowed 3 1/2 years to do what he plans
on doing. So, I ask you please to read
this carefully and see if you don't see how we
must accept the scriptural proof of God's
Word. PS Oh, Yes, I was once a
very strong supporter of the Jewish Temple
being rebuilt but now I watch it, knowing that
it is the temple planned by the
Illuminati. When someone knows the
Masonic rituals and their ultimate plan to sit
in the Temple to declare their god is god,
then you see with brand new eyes and
understanding.
Temple
Sacrifices
He
TAKETH AWAY the first, that HE MAY
ESTABLISH THE SECOND. [10] By the
which will we are sanctified through
the offering of the body of Jesus
Christ once [for ALL].
Tracy,
First of
all, it is not just my private
interpretation of Daniel 9:27. Many
of the pre-19th century
commentaries by men much more pious and
learned than me assigned this passage of
Scripture to the Messiah confirming the
(new) covenant with many, causing the
sacrifice and oblations to cease. Men
like Matthew Henry, John Wesley and John
Calvin (though I don't insist upon
Calvinism) clearly and concisely
identify Jesus-the promised Messiah as
confirming the new covenant and causing
the Temple system of sacrifice and
oblation to cease. More
importantly, Paul expounds upon that
consequence to the Jew, of Christ's
sacrifice in his Hebrew
letter, fulfilling the first covenant
with the second, a superior covenant to
the first. You can call it
replacement theology', I'd never heard
the term, but Paul said that Jesus took
away the first covenant so that He could
establish the second. That
sounds like causing the sacrifice to
cease' and confirming a covenant with
many'. Take
the time to carefully consider Paul's
Hebrew letter, especially chapters 8
through 10, (some is below) as he
expounds at length the new covenant for
the HEBREWS was fulfilled in Christ,
ending the obsolete sacrificial system. There
would be no point to revert to the old
system by either Jew or Gentile.
"[1] Now of the things which we
have spoken [this is] the sum: We have
such an high priest, who is set on the
right hand of the throne of the
Majesty in the heavens; [2]
A minister of the sanctuary, and of
the true tabernacle, which
the Lord pitched, and NOT MAN.
[3] For every high priest is ordained
to offer gifts and sacrifices:
wherefore [it is] of necessity that
this man has somewhat also to offer.
[4] For if he were on earth, he should
not be a priest, seeing that there are
priests that offer gifts according to
the law: [5] Who serve unto the
example and shadow of heavenly things,
as Moses was admonished of God when he
was about to make the tabernacle: for,
See, saith he, [that] thou make all
things according to the pattern shewed
to thee in the mount. [6] But now hath
he obtained a more excellent ministry, by
how much also
He is the MEDIATOR OF A BETTER
COVENANT, which was
established upon better promises.
[7] For if that first [covenant] had
been faultless, then should no place
have been sought for the second." - Hbr 8:1-7 KJV
"[1] For the law having a shadow
of good things to come, [and] not the
very image of the things, can never
with those sacrifices which they
offered year by year continually make
the comers thereunto perfect. [2] For
then would they not have ceased to be
offered? because that the worshippers
once purged should have had no more
conscience of sins. [3] But in those
[sacrifices there is] a remembrance
again [made] of sins every year. [4] For [it is]
not possible that the blood of
bulls and of goats should take
away sins. [5] Wherefore
when he cometh into the world, he
saith, Sacrifice and offering thou
wouldest not, but a body hast thou
prepared me: [6] In
burnt offerings and [sacrifices]
for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
[7] Then said I, Lo, I come (in the
volume of the book it is written of
me,) to do thy will, O God. [8] Above
when he said, Sacrifice and offering
and burnt offerings and [offering] for
sin thou wouldest not, neither
hadst pleasure [therein];
which are offered by the law; [9] Then
said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O
God. He
taketh away the first, that he may
establish the second. [10] By the
which will we are sanctified
through the offering of the body
of Jesus Christ once [for all]. [11] And every priest standeth
daily ministering and offering
oftentimes the same sacrifices, which
can never take away sins: [12] But
this man, after he had offered one
sacrifice for sins forever, sat down
on the right hand of God;" - Hebrews 10:1-12 KJV
The prophet
Jeremiah quotes the Lord as saying the
New Covenant was with the “house
of Israel and with the house of Judah.
"[31] Behold, the days come, saith the
LORD, that I will make a new
covenant with the house of Israel,
and with the
house of Judah: [32] Not
according to the covenant that I made
with their fathers in the day [that] I
took them by the hand to bring them
out of the land of Egypt; which my
covenant they brake,
although I was an husband unto them,
saith the LORD: [33] But this
[shall be] the covenant that I
will make with the house of
Israel; After those days, saith
the LORD, I will put my law in
their inward parts, and write it
in their hearts; and will be their
God, and they shall be my people.
[34] And they shall teach no more
every man his neighbour, and every man
his brother, saying, Know the LORD:
for they shall all know me, from the
least of them unto the greatest of
them, saith the LORD: for I will
forgive their iniquity, and I will
remember their sin no more. - Jer
31:31-34 KJV
To quote
you, “You have to separate
Israel from the Church. The
first church was Israeli. All
the disciples were Jewish. To
be genetically Hebrew carries no special
weight with God. To
be the seed of Abraham is through FAITH. There
are many atheist persons of Hebrew
blood, even more of those who reject the
true Christ. "For the
promise, that he should be the heir of
the world, [was] not to
Abraham, or to his seed, through
the law, but through the
righteousness of faith. For
if they which are of the law [be]
heirs, faith is made
void, and the promise made of none
effect:" - Rom 4:13-14
KJV
Paul goes
on in Chapter 9 of Romans
"[7] Neither, because they are
the seed of Abraham, [are they] all
children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed
be called. [8] That is, They
which are the children of the
flesh, these [are] not the
children of God: but the children
of the promise are counted for the
seed." - Rom
9:7-8 KJV
Seven Year
Tribulation
As for a 7
year tribulation, that notion didn't
arise until John Darby popularized it in
the 19th century, along with
Scofield and was reintroduced by Hal
Lindsay in the 1970's. Most
Christians today believe the seven year
tribulation, but cannot cite a
particular Scripture that clearly states
it. Christ's
ministry on Earth can be plainly
established as a 3.5 year ministry
between his 30th and 34th
year. Any
passage specifically describing a
timeframe for the Tribulation is
generally 3.5 years (1240 days or 42
months, 1260 days, 1290 days and 1335
days). I
believe the rapture will occur at the
beginning of this general 3.5 year
timeframe, though I don't insist we will
not experience some of the Great
Tribulation. However, God's Children
are not given to His wrath. As
I've given my testimony here before, Hal
Lindsay's book was instrumental in
leading me to the Lord way back then,
but I do not believe the Late Great
Planet Earth' is accurate on every point
of prophecy. 7 years is an assumption
purely based on Daniel 9:27 as
describing the antichrist.
The Timing of the
First Half-Week
From the
decree (described in Daniel 9:25) until
the crucifixion of Christ were 69.5
heptads (weeks of years), fulfilling the
purposes of the 70 weeks for the most
part. 3.5
years remain, the Great Tribulation,
which will complete the prophecies and
promises given by Christ. Calculating
the total value of 69 weeks of years is
483 years. If we add 483 years to
Artaxerxes second decree in 444 BC,
places the crucifixion far too late at
38-39 AD as we know Pontius Pilate was
procurator of Judea from AD 26-36. The
crucifixion date must fall between 26
and 36 AD. If we use the first
decree of Artaxerxes in 457 BC, adding
the 483 years takes us to 25 AD, which
is slightly short of Pontius Pilate, but
close. However,
this date is only 30 years past the
birth date of Jesus (6BC, two years
before Herod's death in 4BC). Spectacularly,
this matches Luke 3:23 where the Bible
says Jesus is about thirty'! This
marks the beginning of Jesus' ministry
(confirming the covenant with many) at
His baptism. God declares Him: Thou
art my beloved Son; in thee I am well
pleased.
69 weeks to the Messiah is
fulfilled!!!! The half week added
(Jesus confirming the covenant putting
an end to sin) or 69.5 weeks is 69.5 x 7
= 486.5 years of 364 days, the average
civil year in use during the Second
Temple period. John documents in
chapters 2, 6 and 13 at least three
different Passovers, during Jesus'
ministry.
Consequently, that places Jesus
between 33 to 34 years old at his
Crucifixion and Resurrection. Passover
in 29 AD fits the narrative and history,
falling within the reign of Pilate. Friday
April 15, 29 AD (Julian day 1731756.5)
minus 486.5 years (69 weeks plus the
half week is 177086 days) yields
1554670.5 OR June 457 BC, the year of
Artaxerxes first decree! Daniel's
prophecy of the 70 weeks and the timing
of the 69 weeks (483 years) to the
anointing of Christ at His baptism is
spectacular! Is it only coincidence
then, that 3.5 years after the baptism
when His ministry began, Christ was on
the cross causing the Temple sacrifices
and oblations to cease? What
was the purpose of the cross? Its
promise was given as the same PURPOSE OF
THE 70 WEEKS!
"[24] Seventy weeks are
determined upon thy people and upon
thy holy city, to finish the
transgression, and to make an end
of sins, and to make
reconciliation for iniquity,
and to bring in everlasting
righteousness, and to seal up the
vision and prophecy, and to anoint the
most Holy." - Dan 9:24
KJV
Did Jesus
do those things for you? He
did for me. I'm a child of God by
adoption through Christ. Jesus
spent 3.5 years teaching, proving,
healing and establishing a new covenant
with the Hebrew people FIRST, and then
His Jewish disciples to the Gentile.
A NEW
COVENANT FROM THE WORDS OF JESUS the
last night!
"[28] For this is my
blood of the NEW TESTAMENT, which is
shed for many for the remission of
sins." - Mat 26:28 KJV
Testament (Strong's G1242) diatheke
= covenant, testament, a compact
Here at the end of the 3.5 years of
Christ mediating the new covenant, He
institutes the Lord's Supper, symbolizing
the old sacrifices being fulfilled in Him.
In Christ,
