Ascension Thursday is one of the traditional high watch days, which also is Yom Yerushalayim Day this year:
"Yom Yerushalayim, or Jerusalem Day, is an Israeli national holiday that commemorates the reunification of Jerusalem and the establishment of Israeli control over the Old City following the Six-Day War in 1967. It is celebrated annually on the 28th of Iyar in the Hebrew calendar, marked by various patriotic and religious observances."
If we count 1260 inclusive days from the day after Ascension Thursday, May 15, we end on October 26, 2029, Heshvan17. Heshvan 17 in the second month of the Civil Calendar is the day the Flood began:
"On the seventeenth day of the Hebrew month of Cheshvan, rain began to fall. In addition, jets of steaming water shot forth from the depths of the earth. The downpour continued for forty days and forty nights, until the face of the earth was entirely submerged, covering the summits of the highest mountains with water 15 cubits deep."
However, more realistically, it could take about 12 days for the Reset to be fully implemented and the A C to confirm the Covenant. So the alternative day would be May 26, Sivan 10 since, according to the Book of Jubilees, chapters 6, 14, 15 and 16 many covenants were made during the 3rd month. If that be the case then 1260 inclusive days brings the day count to November 5, 2029, Heshvan 27:
"After more than a year aboard the ark, Noah and the animals exited the ark on the 27th of Cheshvan."
After this critical date the timeline seems to fall apart because of the traditional understanding that the Tribulation lasts 7 years. But, what if the Tribulation is only 3 1/2 years or 1260 days??
Since the numbers seem to support a 3 1/2 year tribulation I asked a friend of mine, who prefers to remain anonymous, if there is a rationale for supporting a Tribulation of only 3 1/2 years.
This was his response.
"Rev. 13:5 or so. The Dragon is granted authority for just 42 months.
"Remember, "the tribulation" does NOT appear in Revelation. Most of our models of the end times are based on the premise that Daniel's 70th week (yes, seven years) is ALL tribulation. But when you read Daniel 9, you see that it's all about reconciliation between God and "thy people and thy holy city." It is NOT a passage about turmoil, strife, judgment or wrath, and it does not speak of God's dealing with the gentiles. So while I agree that there IS an end-times period of wrath, it's NOT seven years long.
"And two other thoughts: first, if the world could withstand God's wrath being poured out for seven years, that wrath would have to be rather tepid. Let's give God a little credit for the fierceness of His wrath against sin and sinners.
"Second, the last "agenda item" in Daniel 9:27 is "anoint the Most Holy." Men have defined "most holy" as a reference to Christ, and dogmatically assert that when Jesus returns He will be anointed. But there's NO support for this, nor does the scripture ever (with - as I recall - one possible exception) use the term "most holy" to refer to people. Ezekiel goes into great detail in chapters 40-41 to describe the "Most Holy." It's the millennial temple complex.
"This complex must be built before it can be anointed. That will take some time. Read the disaster of the sixth seal and then decide if it makes any sense that the temple can be built when the sixth seal is opened.
"My thoughts. Do your own research, come to your own conclusion, and feel free to reject mine. We'll find out shortly."
