"to Fay, in regard to Turkey"

Fay,
For a long time, you have pointed out the importance of considering Turkey's role in end times prophecy.
There has been a growing trend to again identify Magog with part of Turkey, and not Russia.
Because traditionally it had been, but after the communist revolution in Russia in the early 20th century, some began to identify Russia as Magog.
That increased, when a few, newer translations, no longer called Gog "chief prince", but instead "prince of Rosh".
Then they said that Josephus mentioned Magog with peoples that the Greeks called Scythians.
However, even older identification of Magog from ancient Assyrian court records, to have been in Turkey, were not considered.
Thus it became fait d'accompli, the pop culture of end times prophecy, that Magog was the godless, communist Soviet Union, with Gog being whoever headed the Soviet Union that year.
Some, in the 80's went so far as to call Gorbachov, "Gog-achov".
But after the fall of communism in Russia and eastern Europe, some began to wonder if pop culture prophecy was the best way to consider the identity of Magog.
I admit that I had been swept up in the pop culture as well, but some years ago, I began to consider other explanations.
I had found much information identifying Meshech, Tubal, and Togarmah as being in what is now called Turkey, east of Lydia.
But then, I also found information identifying Magog as having been the western part of Turkey, also identified as Lydia.
Lydia, was where the seven churches were, to whom Jesus had John write, while he was on Patmos, and one church was in Pergamos, where Jesus said that Satan's seat was.
Apparently, at one point Meshech and Tubal were part of the greater Assyrian world, but Magog only helped Assyria in their battles with the people on the eastern and northeastern Black Sea area.
I considered, at that point, that Gog was a chief prince, a fallen celestial principality, like the prince of Persia also was.
He is called, "Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal", which are two other parts of Turkey, east of Magog.
But he is not called the chief prince of Magog, but only the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.
However, he is identified with Magog: "Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him".
So, there is the land of Magog, which was west of Meshech and Tubal.
Apparently, Gog was associated with the land of Magog, similar to Satan associated with Pergamos in that same part of Turkey.
I had wondered, then, if, when the devil gives his seat to the beast, it will still be in Pergamos, so that Lydia, or Magog, becomes the main location on the kingdom of the antichrist.

Anyway, here are a few of the articles that I saw this morning, that maybe you may find intersting:
