When wolves, or cougars come into the area where people live, there is obvious concern.At first there are some sightings, and the concern grows.Then after some people flee a close encounter, warnings start.When people are hurt, some prepare themselves, either to stay safe, or even to defend themselves.But, when people begin to be killed, that is where divergent thoughts manifest.Some call for the wolves, or cougars, to be located and put down, not captured, nor sent to other people.Yet, there always seems to be some with a very bizarre, suicidal approach to addressing the problem of wolves, or cougars.That is, to speak kindly to the beasts, to feed them, and for the most bizarre, to actually invite the beasts into their homes, to live with them, like pets.
As strange as it may seem, that is pretty close to how many are reacting to radical islam.Waiting until people are hurt, or worse, even killed, is the first grave error.But, there are currently, Christian, evangelical, and also catholic, organizations, that are calling for peace with Iran, praying for a cease fire, and for diplomacy:
Can peace be made with a wolf? Can there be diplomacy with a cougar?Neville Chamberlain thought that was possible, but too many people found out the hard way, that it was not possible.Today, as European nations are morphing into islamic societies, right before their very eyes, implicit threats, from without, grow daily, both economic, and physical;How are they responding, while in an actual whirlpool of internal descent, into a self-destructive future, from which they can never vote their way out of?
The eastern Roman empire was conquered by the sword, i.e. by islam, but when that was tried on the remnants of the western Roman empire, it didn't work.They were stopped in France, Italy, and Vienna, then they were pushed out of the Iberian peninsula.So, for the past generation, they, instead, have heavily migrated their way into the western Roman empire: Algerians, Turks, Moroccans, Syrian refugees, Pakistanis, and Bangladeshis.Now, parts of European cities, are quite similar to cities in those islamic countries of origin, and there are increasing numbers of Sharia courts in Europe.In addition to increasing violence and crime, there are tendencies of governments being more and more favorable to islamic causes, and less and less to historically Christian causes.Then there is the ever growing hatred for Israel, and antisemitism in general, which is spreading even among non-muslims in Europe.The wolves and cougars have been let into the homes, and are being treated as pets.
Eventually, there will be full blown attacks on Israel, like shown in Ezekiel, as well as all nations gathered against Jerusalem.Even the military might of the west and the IDF cannot stop it.
So, how does all of it stop? By diplomacy? By peace plans? By agreeing to live together?No, there is one way, and one way only, how this is finally stopped:
Isaiah 34:2 For the indignation of the LORD is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter.
3 Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.
Isaiah 63:1 Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
2 Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?
3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.
4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.
Joel 3:2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.
13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the vats overflow; for their wickedness is great.
14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.
Zephaniah 3:8 Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.
Zechariah 14:3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Revelation 6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
Revelation 14:19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
Revelation 19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
Only after the Prince of Peace accomplishes that, will there be peace on earth.
We have been called to preach the gospel to every creature, to witness the good news of Jesus' crucifixion for our sins and his resurrection from the dead.
We, like Israel, have absolutely not been called to make peace with other gods.
But like Israel, we have failed, and done the opposite.
Israel failed to show the nations that the LORD their God is the only true God.
The nations, then, only dug in their heels, and became even worse worshippers of their false gods.
When Israel failed, both they, and the surrounding heathen, all suffered the judgment of the LORD.
Now that we have failed, judgment is again coming.
We have failed, and instead of the gospel spreading more and more, islam is spreading more and more.
Instead of more people turning from allah to Jesus, there has, instead, been more people turning away from Jesus.
