How interesting that Ascension Day 2026, falls on May 14th.  May 14th marks the 78th anniversary of the birth of modern day Israel in 1948.  LORD Jesus ascended to heaven on this day - 40 days after Passover/Easter and 10 days before Pentecost.  

 

May 14th was the 5th Iyar on the Hebrew calendar in 1948.  The 5th Iyar, 2026 falls on April 22nd - and, of course, is marked as Israeli Independence Day on the Hebcal calendar.  It is also the 20th day of the Omer.
