At 9:12 a.m., Chief Ganci requested fifth alarm response to WTC 2, with staging at West and Albany. This fifth alarm request would bring an additional 23 engine companies and 13 ladder companies to the World Trade Center. --- Get the picture? This, sums it up: A five-alarm fire requires a lot more assistance from the outside due to the large size of the fire. In Rochester, a five-alarm fire is our largest response. The alarms are used to bring in more equipment and manpower due to the size of the building and the amount of fire involved. ------- Let that sink in -I know there's a couple out there catching this?!- Back to "ICE" Here's what I stumbled upon that floored me: -For May 11th- The Ice Saints are St. Mamertus, St. Pancras, and St. Servatius (and in some countries, Saint Boniface of Tarsus, May 14).
