This can't be good for
China: A hacker has stollen a "massive trove of
sensitive data - including highly classified defense
documents and missile schematics - from a state-run Chinese
supercomputer....the dataset...allegedly contains more than
10 petabytes of sensitive information."
Cyber experts said it looks
like the hacker was able to gain entry "with comparative
ease" and steal huge amounts of data "over the course of
multiple months without being detected."
The hacker account goes by
the name "FlamingChina". Payment for stolen data is
requested in cryptocurrency.
The leak appears to be
genuine.
