"Israel's Barley Season"

Since Leviticus 23, Abba Father Yahuah has made it clear to Israel and the world that there are 7 Special Appointed Times, 7 Appointment Times with Him, the 7 Feasts of Elohim. Paul has noted that these are "shadow pictures of the Messiah" of great importance. Thirdly, these are Jewish things, secondly these are Scriptural Occasions to remember and to observe, and firstly these are Beloved Times of Appointments with Abba Father Yahuah and Messiah Yahusha.  These are their names from the first Hebrew, from Paleo Hebrew. The initial Appointed Times, 1-3, are linked to the barley harvest for Israel. Then, Feast 4 is linked to the wheat harvest. The first 2 of the 7 species-crops of the land of Isreal were barley then wheat. These were the dietary foundation, the food staples of everyday life, which were turned into bread.

With His Death, Resurrection, and then Ascension, the Messiah was the symbolic HEAD of the barley harvest. He represented the First Fruits Wave Offering on Nisan 17. What about the REMAINDER of the barley harvest? His symbolic barley BODY? THE BODY? When each year is the barley harvest fully come, when is it COMPLETE? In harvest, in days of old or now, the barley would be harvested by the Second Passover. But spiritually, would the harvest be complete later? Yes. Consider the MENORAH. Look to the meanings of the 7-pronged candlestick called the MENORAH. As Shavuot begins, only then does the Lamp go from Lamp 3 to Lamp 4. Lamp 4 represents the following: The Center Lamp, The Upraised Lamp, The Servant Lamp, The Messiah Lamp, and The Shavuot Lamp. Only at Days 49-50 of The Counting of the Omer, is the Barley Season -Unleavened Bread Season fully come, is CONCLUDED. So, we see a continuity of maturation from barley to wheat, from Lamps 1-3 to 4.

Long ago, barley was harvested by hand. No combines. No mechanical equipment. Barley stalks were tossed in the air, and the wind separated the grain from the chaff. The barley grains gently fell to earth. Beauty and Simplicity. What about the harvesting of wheat by hand? The harvest was VERY DIFFERENT. Wheat stalks were STRUCK hard against a board called a Tribulus (Latin). The wheat grains separated from the stalks in A VIOLENT WAY. Harsh and ugly. Which would be better associated with the First Resurrection, the event called The Blessed Hope? Gentle or Violent?

The Redeemed will be raised up before "The Hour of Trial" begins. They will, as promised in the Scriptures, escape the experiences of "the earth dwellers" left behind. Wheat and the Tribulus are associated with those persecuted onto death during "the Hour of Trial" on earth. Earlier in harvest, the barley is a very different gentle harvesting by hand. We are in Israel's Barley Season until Shavuot on 6-2 to 3, 2025, according to the Torah Calendar. Will the next Shavuot provide the day and hour for the glorious, gentle, uplifted SPIRITUAL HARVEST within the joyous event called The Blessed Hope? We shall see.

With Love and Shalom,
Jean
