What stood out to me is that it was the Passover that God specified to parents to teach to their children. I recall a video from years ago of a young Christian girl (maybe 9 years old?) explaining to her mom why Jesus' coming on Easter seemed like the perfect time.
Another thought is that it was on the 10th of the 1st month, when Israel had to set aside a Passover Lamb, that Israel then knew "get ready to go, we're close". It was the timing of their heads-up.
