Hello John and Doves,
In another letter today about the "Why Iran is not
Mystery Babylon" Letter, I wrote about Gary
Stearman's two Mystery Babylon videos (Part 1 and 2) on
Prophecy Watchers website. I wrote that I had not
listened to them all the way through. Those videos
were made in 2023.
And now, in April 2025, President Trump has hit the
world with changes in tariffs. This is making a
really big stink. That's a big part of today's news
- people worried about 'tariff wars' or major inflation,
etc.
So, after listening, in part, to Gary's videos, and
in light of Trump's tariff's and the meltdowns going
on inside and and outside the country, I decided it might
behoove me to listen to the entirety of Gary's
videos. I have taken notes as they are about an hour
each if you don't have time to listen to these.
In this letter I wrote about how China is responding
to President Trump's tariffs. Not well. Not well at
all. Trump is particularly focusing on China - who
isn't wanting to negotiate with America, and instead is
hitting back with their own tariffs on U.S. goods.
Who is going to blink first?
Also, I wrote about various verses in The Revelation
about Mystery Babylon - especially those referring to the
sea and global shipping. And I wrote about the ten
horns/kings that fulfill the will of God and 'burn her
with fire'.
A 'great city' is a megalopolis. Like
Tyre. Like the U.S.'s Eastern seaboard? Like
our "Northeast Megalopolis"? I wrote about this and
the major ports on our east coast. The biggest port
megalopolis in the world is our east coast.
International trade brings/sustains global power.
And I wrote about our eastern ports.
So is President
Trump pushing the world's buttons? Especially
China's? Is he doing God's will that will result
in the push to get these kings to carry out God's
purpose? To destroy the Mystery Babylon
prostitute. They surely must hate Trump for what
he's done and is doing. He's rocking their
boat~ Will they hit America's mega shipping
trade on the East coastline - along with all that's
found in that "Northeast megalopolis?"
In this article dated April 9, 2025: "But China - which ships
everything from iPhones to children's toys and accounts
for around 14% of all US imports - has been
singled out for much harsher treatment with an
eye-watering rate of 125%."
"The aim is nothing less than the upending
of an established system of global trade
centered on China as the factory of the world...China was
"boosting growth, providing an endless supply of cheap
goods, enriching China's army of new factory workers
increasingly embedded in global supply chains, and
providing lucrative opportunities to multinational
corporations selling their wares to its newly
minted middle class."
Now China and the U.S. are in a tit for tat tariff
standoff. The big question is "Is China willing to
make the kind of major concessions that America is looking
for, including a complete overhaul of its export driven
economic model?" No one knows how Beijing will react
to this. "China's vision of economic strength - one
based on strong exports and a tightly protected domestic
market - is now closely bound up with its idea of national
rejuvenation and the supremacy of its one-party system."
"Rather than championing the idea of
economic co-operation, the world's two biggest
superpowers may find themselves locked in a fight for
winner-takes-all economic supremacy. If
so, that really would mark a shattering of the old
consensus, and a very different, possibly very dangerous
future."
Are we seeing shades of Mystery Babylon?
Two superpowers vying for the global trade
market. What could possibly go wrong? This
brings us to the identity of Mystery Babylon. Is she
NYC, Jerusalem, the Vatican? Or something much much
bigger and with immense global power, possibly involving
this behemoth of global trade?
Mystery Babylon, the great harlot comes under
judgment resulting in total destruction. The
kings of the Earth get tired of her running everything -
they want to rule the Beast she rides. They are
brought to this thing by God's will. But is there a
trigger for this?
Right now, President Trump has literally angered the
whole world - countries, CEOs, bankers, merchants like
Amazon, WalMart, etc. Would someone be glad to see
America's end? And take the bully out of the global
trade system? China has been planning war with
America for decades. Russia isn't fond of all the
blame (Russia, Russia, Russia) and sanctions. Seems
we have a lot of enemies. It's 'kings' of the world
that take out the whore. Who are they?
Who is responsible for this destruction? Why
is no retaliation mentioned? Is the destruction
'natural' - earthquake, tsunami or is it war?
Gary Stearman compares Mystery Babylon to the
ancient city of Tyre a great global seafaring monopoly
known round the world - that was destroyed eventually by
Nebuchadnezzar and Alexander the Great.
Is something going to happen to America because of
this push on tariffs?
As for Gary's comparison of Mystery Babylon today to
ancient Tyre - a city-state of immense global control and
power - a megalopolis - he points out that many of the
words in Ezekiel about Tyre parallel those in The
Revelation about Mystery Babylon. The similarities
are striking. Tyrus was destroyed because it
exported Baal/idolatry around the world and had much
arrogance. What about Mystery Babylon - idolatry,
arrogance?
In Part 1 Gary
touches on a lot of this; in Part 2 we find out more
about who Mystery Babylon is (a separate letter).
I end this letter with
information on Tyre found in biblehub.com. Good
information.
America's Number One Enemy - And A Big
Wildcard - China and The Rest of the World Is Not Happy
With the Change in 'The Laws of the Sea':
President Trump has shaken up the whole world -
everyone knows America has the biggest economy in the
world. Trump would say, 'we have all the
cards'. So other countries are having to 'adjust'
their tariffs to 'fit' what Trump wants. This can't
sit well with many of the world leaders. Especially with
superpowers like China and Russia. America has many
enemies. Many would like to see her gone from the
world stage.
China has been biting at the bit for a long time to
get to an all out war with the U.S. They have placed
many spies inside our government, our corporations, our
universities, our research centers, etc. They have
been stealing our technology for decades. And
they've been buying up farm land. McConnell and his
Chinese wife are two such examples - and now with Trump in
office, they've lost much of their power. But China
still has their operatives in our government. And
China has been working on, and probably already has, an
ethnic bioweapon. China has said they want a
'bloodless' victory. The U.S. is their number one
enemy.
We have so many traitors in this country!
The world's goods move via shipping.
Imports/exports - this is how they get from continent to
continent - ships.
We only need to read article titles to get the jest
of the affect of this change in tariffs and who knows how
much of this will be changed before this letter gets
posted on Doves:
The Revelation And Connecting
Mystery Babylon To Global Sea Trade:
Add the above to the verses in The Revelation about
the destruction of Mystery Babylon - note the references
to sailors, ships, and 'trade by sea'. Coincidence??
Rev 18:17 - 19 "For in one hour so great riches is
come to nought. And every shipmaster,
and all the company in ships and sailors, and
as many as trade by sea, stood afar off
and cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying
What city is like unto this great city! Abd they
cast dust on their heads and cried and weeping and wailing
saying, Alas, alas that great city, in which all
who had ships on the sea became rich by her
wealth. For in one hour she is made
desolate.'
Rev 18 :11-14: "And the merchants of the
earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no
many buyeth their merchandise any more: the
merchandise of gold and silver and precious stones and of
pearls and fine linen and purple and silk and scarlet and
all citron wood and all manner vessels of ivory and all
manner vessels of most precious wood and of brass and iron
and marble and cinnamon and spice and incense and myrrh
and frankincense; and wine and oil and finest flour and
wheat and cattle and sheep and horses and chariots and
slaves and souls of men."
Rev 18:15 - 19: "The merchants of
these things which were made rich by her, shall
stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and
wailing, And saying, Alas, alas that great city, that was
clothed in fine linen and purple and scarlet and decked
with gold and precious stones and pearls. For in one
hour so great riches is come to nought. And
every shipmaster and all the company of ships and
sailors and as many as trade by sea, stood afar
off..will cry out..."what city is like unto this great
city! And they cast dust on their heads, and cried,
weeping and wailing saying "Alas, alas that great
city, wherein were made rich all that had ships
in the sea by reason of her costliness (wealth)
for in one hour is she made desolate."
Rev 18:21: "And a mighty angel took up a stone
like a great millstone and cast it into the sea saying,
Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown
down and shall be found no more at all." (is this
reference to a tsunami caused by a great earthquake
- there is a huge
earthquake that divides the great city into three parts
- or is there a tsunami caused by a nuclear
weapon (Russia is said to have such nuclear weapons)
or - does a nuclear weapon cause the great
earthquake ?? There is no mention of retaliation -
so it is considered a 'natural' event (maybe caused by
'someone' to look like a natural event)...the kings
fulfill God's will for her destruction.....
Rev 18:23 "For thy merchants were the great
men of the earth..."
Rev 17:1 "..the great whore who sitteth upon
many waters."
If one searches 'ships' on biblehub.com there
are many, many verses about shipping and riches.
Kings became wealthy with the shipping trade.
Gary talked about King Solomon and King Hiram and
their agreement concerning shipping.
In 2 Chronicles 9:21, 22: "For the king's ships went
to Tarshish with the servants of Hiram. Once every
three years the merchant ships came, bringing gold,
silver, apes and monkeys. King Solomon passed all
the kings of the earth in riches...."
1 Kings 22:48 Jehoshaphat (King of Judah) built
ships of Tarshish to go to Ophir for gold..."
The 'woman', Mystery Babylon rides the scarlet beast
(this beast has the seven heads and ten horns). This
woman is adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls
and has a gold cup 'full of abominations and filthiness of
her fornication.' She is drunk with 'the blood of
the saints'. The woman appears to rule the seven
heads. We are told that this prostitute
sits 'on the waters' - many peoples of every
nation. The beast and his horns hate the
prostitute. They "shall hate the whore, and shall
make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh and
burn her with fire." Rev. 17:16
"FOR GOD HAS PUT IT IN THEIR HEARTS TO FULFILL HIS
WILL." Then these kings/horns "agree to give their
kingdom unto the beast, UNTIL THE WORDS OF GOD SHALL BE
FULFILLED." Rev 17:17
What Is a "Great City"? A Megalopolis:
"In Greek, megalopolis literally translates
to "great city". It's a combination of
two Greek words: megas, meaning 'great' and polis,
meaning "city"...it's modern application has expanded to
describe some of the largest and most complex urban
regions in the world."
What
does megalopolis mean in Greek? - Geographic Pedia
That Great City - the Northeast Megalopolis?
As for that 'great city' - this isn't a 'regular'
city - like Paris, NYC, London - this is a megacity.
Gary Stearman explained it like two neighboring cities
that grow together. Anyone who's been to Denver
knows how all the surrounding cities have grown into
Denver...there are only signs that divide the
cities. Gary said that the biggest shipping
megalopolis in the world is on our eastern seaboard.
A megalopolis is defined as a 'supercity' - "a group
of metropolitan areas which are perceived as a continuous
urban area through common systems of transport, economy,
resources, ecology, and so on."
Megalopolis
- Wikipedia
What Is The Northeast Megalopolis?:
The "Northeast megalopolis is the most populous
megalopolis exclusively within the United States with
slightly over 50 million residents as of 2022. It is the world's
largest megalopolis by economic output." It
extends from Boston to D.C. - including Portland, Maine,
Manchester, New Hampshire, and Harrisburg,
Pennsylvania. It includes NYC, Philadelphia,
Washington, D.C. Boston and Baltimore. This is move
than 50 million people - "about 17% of the U.S. population
on less than 2% of the nation's land area, with a
population density of about 1,000 people per square mile.,
far more than the U.S. average of 80.5 per square
mile. At least one projection estimates the
area will grow to 58.1 million people by 2025."
It includes "many of the financial and political
centers of influence in the United States, including the
national capital of Washington, D.C. and all or part of 12
states: Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode
Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware,
Maryland, W. Virginia and Virginia." "The region
accounts for over 20% of the U.S. gross domestic product
and is home to two of the world's largest stock exchanges,
the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq and the
headquarters of the United Nations...the White House, the
U.S. Capitol, and the U.S. Supreme Court." It also
home to the HQ of "most of the nation's and some of the
world's largest media organizations including ABC, NBC,
CBS, NPR, PBS, Fox , Comcast, The New York Times...New
York Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post,
and The Boston Globe." And it's the "global
headquarters of many major financial firms: JP
Morgan Chase, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley,
Fannie Mae, Capital One, The Vanguard Group. 54 of
the world's largest '500' companies are based here.

International Trade and Global Power -
America's Eastern Ports:
In this article from January 5, 2025:
"The U.S. like most countries of the world, depends
on international trade to propel its economy and sustain
its position as a global power. Given is strategic
location, the U.S. depends on ships to carry maritime
trade with its partners. About 69% of all
goods traded in the United States are transported using
waterways, mainly via seagoing cargo vessels."
In 2022, the U.S. "operated 2.6% of the world merchant
fleet and came 11th behind seafaring countries such as
Greece, China and Japan."
There is the Port of New York and New Jersey
is "nestled between Brooklyn, New Jersey and
Manhattan...it handles an array of cargo and all types of
ships, ranging from container carriers, RORO, bulk and
breakbulk carriers, tankers, etc. A leading
container center in North America, this port has 6
different container terminals. Marine terminals are
spread across the harbour, especially along the Brooklyn
Waterfront in New York City and along the coast of Newark
Bay in New Jersey....Most of its general cargo terminals
are owned and managed by the Port Authority of New York
and New Jersey. This port imports monument stone,
ethyl alcohol, vegetables, fruit juice, motor vehicles,
wine, paper and paperboard, coffee, furniture and ceramic
flags. Exports comprise auto parts, worn clothes,
waster paper, sawn wood, film plates and sheets, animal
feed preps, rough wood, polymers of propylene, etc.
Approximately 7,250 vessels, 85,510,000 tonnes of cargo
and 6,251,923 TEU are handled annually at this port."
"Per estimates, this port accounts for more
than one-third of all North Atlantic trade."
The Port of Virginia has 6
terminals covering 1864 acres that handle cargo from
around the globe." It is the deepest port on the
East Coast and is home to "the largest naval base in the
world." "It also boasts a robust shipbuilding and
ship repair industry and supports a thriving coal trade
and the 6th biggest container cargo complex in the
U.S....Virginia is an important port, with around 30
international shipping lines offering direct services to
and from Virginia with connections to more than 200
nations. In a week, over 40 international vessels
like container carriers, RORO, and breakbulk vessels are
handled at the port's specialized terminals."
"Charleston Port lies in South
Carolina...spanning municipalities of Charleston, Mount
Pleasant and North Charleston. The port has 6 public
terminals...Charleston Port ranked 6th in the US in terms
of cargo value, attaining more than $72 billion in imports
and exports. Approximately 1,700 vessels and
1,300,000 TEU are handled annually here."
"Boston Port lies in Boston Harbour
and is the biggest port in Massachusetts. It is also
an important facility on the east coast of the U.S....It
is endowed with 8 berths for sea-going ships and 6
riverside berths. It handles steel, bulk, palletised
and general cargo, paper, forest products, containers,
etc. Around 1,200 vessels, 15,500,000 tonnes of
cargo, 164,500 TEU and 270,000 passengers are handled at
this facility."
"Port of Baltimore lies close to
the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland...on the Patapsco River
making it one of the busiest ports and industrial centres
in the region. Along its 72 km long shoreline lies 5
public and 12 private terminals, handling general
merchandise, dry and liquid bulk commodities, contanerised
cargo, etc. The port handles 37,850,000 tonnes of
cargo, 632,000 TEU and 252,000 passengers annually....it
is an overnight drives to one-third of the country's
population." It receives large cargo ships "often
from the Far East." "In 2022, it ranked 1st in the
country in handling light trucks, construction machinery,
automobiles and imported gypsum. It ranked 2nd for
exporting coal and 6th for importing coffee."
I just looked at those ports on the east seaboard of
the U.S. - not including Florida.
The West coast ports - Long Beach and Los Angeles
are the busiest in the nation. But do one or two or
all of the East Coast ports make up a megalopolis?
According to Gary, they can be seen as a "great city" as
they cover a very large area.
Identifying Mystery Babylon Part 1 - Gary
Stearman:
(my notes)
Babylon was an ancient power in the Middle East; a
megacity. The ancient ruins of Babylon are in Iraq -
this 'Babylon' is not Mystery Babylon. The sixth and
seventh bowls are judgments against Babylon. They are
written about in Revelation 15/16. God is going to
judge Babylon. The Euphrates River goes through the
ancient city of Babylon.
The kings in this part of Revelation are probably
the kings that lie east of Israel Gary said he tries
to take everything literal in the Bible. The final
battle is incited by evil spirits to bring the kings of
the Earth against Israel. The Valley of Jezereel and
the battle of Armageddon are the same thing.
The seventh bowl involves Babylon.
God will be reshaping the Earth with great
earthquakes and probably an Earth tilt, volcanic action,
the islands move, mountains will fall, 81 pound hail
stones (for the air/wind to support this weight, the speed
of the air would have to be supersonic), etc, so that the
Earth is ready for what He has planned for the
Millennium. Some 4.5 billion people will die in
three years. It will be a beautiful, wonderful place
when we go into the Millennium. Gary said too many people
think the Tribulation won't be very bad. And that
God isn't really interested in the goings on on
Earth. Geological disruption, atmospheric
disruption, the solar disruption with the sun scorching
men, etc. will be in the Tribulation.
God is to give Babylon the cup of the wine of His
wrath. This is an extension of Jesus' cup at the
Last Passover. The cup ensured His judgment.
This cup is called 'judgment'.
In Revelation 16:19, "And the great city
(Babylon) was divided into three parts and the cities of
the nations fell and great Babylon came in remembrance
before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the
fierceness of His wrath." How do you divide a great
city? Plate tectonics would do this. This
great city is Greek 'megalopolis'.
He doesn't believe that Jerusalem is 'the' great
city mentioned in Revelation 16:19. Rev 14:8 tells
us about "Babylon is fallen, that great city." This
indicates the absolute destruction of Babylon. The
great city is divided into three parts. Then we are
told in Rev 17:18 and the woman, Mystery Babylon, is that
great city that reigns over the kings of the Earth.
Mystery Babylon is that great city.
The ID of 'Mystery Babylon the great' is a
mystery. Rev 18:10 'alas that great city, that
mighty city, is judged in one hour' - this megalopolis
will be destroyed in one hour. What exactly is
Babylon? The people cried at the smoke of her
burning. There is not another city equal to this
great city. These are clues as to the ID.
Babylon in Iraq is in ruins and would have to be quickly
rebuilt to fulfill these prophecies.
When Mystery Babylon is destroyed the kings of the
earth "weep and mourn over her." Rev 18:9
The "'merchants of the earth' weep and mourn over
her" Rev 18:11 "all the captains of the
merchant ships and their passengers and sailors and crews"
will "cast dust on their heads...weeping and wailing"
("And every shipmaster, and all the company IN ships and
sailors and as many as trade by sea") Rev 18:17, 19
Whatever Babylon is, "it is a great city and
a power center and wealthy superstructure. He
proposed that the Mystery Babylon is the merchant
capitol of the world." Rev 18:16 there is
a clue Babylon has to be on the water, on a sea and not on
a river - it has to be a seaport.
All the shipmasters are shocked. The oil tankers run
by the big petroleum companies, the container ships, all
of the merchants that depend on Mystery Babylon the Great
for their shipping trade. Every shipmaster, sailors,
beyond the three mile limit - out in the open ocean -
watching Babylon destroyed - so they watch this
destruction.
Rev 17:1 described the great harlot and the city
Babylon that 'sits on many waters' so the city is the
woman and the woman is the city. Babylon is
much bigger than you thought it was. John
spoke to an angel with one of the bowls - the angel said
I'll show you the judgment of the great whore that sits on
many waters.
Ez 27: 1- 3 Ezekiel is seeing the city Tyrus and
he's very sad - "Now, thou son of man, take up a
lamentation for Tyrus. And say to Tyrus, O thou that
are situated at the entry of the sea, which are a merchant
of the people for many isles, Thus saith the Lord God, O
Tyrus, thou hast said I am of perfect beauty. And Ezekiel
27:30 -34 "They will make their voice heard because of
you; they will cry bitterly and shall cast up dust upon
their heads; they shall wallow themselves in the
ashes...And in their wailing they shall take up a
lamentation for thee and lament over thee saying What city
is like Tyrus, like the destroyed in the midst of the
sea? When thy wares went forth out of the seas, thou
filledst many people, thou didst enrich the kings
of the earth with the multitude of thy riches and of
they merchandise." In the time when thou
shalt be broken by the sea in the depths of the waters
they merchandise and all thy company in the the midst of
thee shall fall." (another translation: "Now
you are wrecked by the seas, in the depths of the waters;
your merchandise and all your crew in your midst have sunk
with you.'
"All the inhabitants of the isles shall be
astonished at thee and their kings shall be sore afraid;
they shall be troubled in their countenance. The
merchants among the people shall hiss at thee; thou shalt
be a terror and never shalt be any more." (another
translation: the merchants among the nations shake
their heads at the sight of you, for you have come to a
horrible end and will exist no more."
As Tyrus said "I am of perfect beauty" so full of
proud, so too is Mystery Babylon "How much she hath
glorified herself and lived deliciously so much torment
and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a
queen and am no widow and shall see now sorrow." Rev
18:7
Tyre, Hiram or the dynasty of the Phoenicians were
the world's merchant traders on the ancient seven seas.
They were seafarers. And had a global
business. They had laws to sustain their
empire.
Ezekiel tells all about Tyre including the day of
'thy ruin'. We are seeing the same wording as in The
Revelation for Mystery Babylon. The merchant trade
on this planet is largely in ships. The merchant
trade and the Law of the Sea controls all of this.
Gary is "making the case that Babylon is
literally the personification of the shipping trade."
And the angel says to John to show him the judgement of
the great whore that sits on many waters. The global
merchant trade is to be judged. She is not a rebuilt
Babylon on the Euphrates River. Out of ancient
Babylon would come a world culture, in the later days,
that would operate under one set of rules and those
operating rules are governed by people who stand against
God. This started under King Hiram - he exported the
god Baal.
And the system of Baal, Ishtar, Isis, Tammuz,
Osiris, this whole false religious system was promoted by
the Pheonicians and exported to all the world to all the
ports of call. All around the world they sailed,
long before the throne of David. They exported the
worship of Baal all over the world. This system is
huge.

Information About Tyre on the
biblehub.com:
"Tyre, also known as Tyrus is an ancient Phoenician
city located on the Mediterranean coast in what is now
modern day Lebanon. It hold significant historical
and biblical important, frequently mentioned in the
scriptures for its wealth, commerce and eventual judgment
by God." Tyre was "the seat of immense wealth and power."
"Tyre was a major maritime and commercial center in
the ancient world, renowned for its production of purple
dye and its skilled artisans. The city was
originally built on an island and later expanded to the
mainland. Its strategic location and strong fortifications
made it a powerful city-state in the region." It
eventually fell "due to pride and idolatry."
"Tyre had a notable alliance with Israel during the
reigns of David and Solomon. King Hiram of Tyre
provided materials and craftsmen for the construction of
David's palace and Solomon's Temple."
"The prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Amos
pronounced judgments against Tyre for its pride, idolatry
and mistreatment of Israel." Ezekiel 28:2 God
said to Tyre, "Your heart is proud, and you have said,
"I am a god; I sit in the seat of gods in the heart of
the sea"... The prophecies were fulfilled
with Nebuchadnezzar and Alexander the Great.
"While Tyre was once a symbol of wealth and power,
its eventual destruction serves as a testament to the
biblical truth that no nation or city if beyond the reach
of God's judgment."

My next letter, Part 2, will have even more info on
the identify of Mystery Babylon, the Great, the Mother of
All Harlots with Gary Stearman.
It just seems awfully coincidental that the 'tariff'
issue is going on now and has really caused a lot of anger
at the U.S. globally. And it involves seafaring,
global shipping just like we see mentioned in the verses
in The Revelation concerning Mystery Babylon. I
really think Gary Stearman is 'on to something'.
