He died for me.
In the last year we’ve lost people we love to death. More are staring at it now. I served in the military and part of the oath you make is to be willing to give your life for others. Jesus said this, ‘There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.’ (John 15:13). He did this willingly, purposefully, ‘ No man taketh it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself.’ (John 10:18). The good news (gospel) is that the tomb is empty. What does that mean? What hope does that give us?
Please let me share my favorite passage with you this Easter:
Revelation 214 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”
He died for you. He died for all.
Thank you for listening. May you and yours be truly blessed this Easter Sunday. Godspeed.
