Yes, the 1808 eclypse crossed the country west to east and the 1811
eclipse crossed the first from South to North very close to the coming
eclipse crossing point. Three massive quakes 12/16/1811-- 8.1 ,,,
1-23-1218-7.8 ,,, 2/7/12--8.8 ... with dozzens of other smaller
quakes.  The entire series of quakes are suggested to be the largest
in recorded history.
