An article about OJ Simpson's death and a rehash of the murder for which he was - against all odds - acquitted. This expose suggests that OJ didn't actually commit the murder but did organise it - using the mafia. Plus - he made sure he was there to witness it. How macabre!! Even if someone is off their skull with rage, an ordinary human being does NOT want to witness murder. It's against our very nature.
The truth is that the mafia aka Organised Crime, has never gone away. It has gained power and influence - using fear and intimidation, torture etc., to get what they want. I have read that JFK's father approached the mafia to get JFK elected to the presidency. The mafia obliged and the Kennedy family has paid in blood ever since. Think about the the actors in films like the Godfather, Goodfellas, the Soprano's etc. Aren't the actors a little TOO authentic? A little TOO good? I imagine that the crime families are egotistical too (LOL- ya think?) and crave fame as well as power. Real mafia buffoons cast in leading roles in major movies? The very thought !!
All this is conjecture on my part but it certainly is looking that way. We naïve humans assumed (well - I did) that the mafia had been decimated - way back. The truth is that they simply stayed under the radar. Keeping a low profile. The sheer tackiness of places like Las Vegas is a very real pointer that the mafia haven't budged. They have just become more media savvy. Like street rats, if you will.
I pray that our LORD Jesus returns soon. Perilous times have come.
