Hello John and Doves,
In Leviticus 23, the Lord tells us about His
"appointed feasts".
In looking at the Passover and the Feast of
Unleavened Bread, the Lord said that "on the fifteenth day
of the same month begins the Feast of Unleavened Bread to
the Lord. For seven days you must eat unleavened
bread. On the first day you are to hold a sacred
assembly; you are not to do any regular work. For
seven days you are to present an offering made by fire to
the Lord. On the seventh day there shall be a sacred
assembly; you must not do any regular work." Lev 23:
6-8
Note there are two "sacred assemblies". These
sacred assemblies are holy to the Lord. The Hebrew
word "miqra" is a public meetings, a rehearsal - assembly,
calling, convocation, reading.
This year, on the chabad calendar, Passover started
on the eve of April 22. The last day or the second
sacred assembly starts on the eve of April 29, ending
sunset April 30.
In Leviticus 23, we are told about the Feast of the
Lord - these are appointed times - appointed days for
prophetic things to happen on God's calendar. These
'feasts' are 'mowade' - appointed meeting, appointed time,
set feast, appointed sign or signal. These are sacred/holy
to God.
We know that during the Passover Week or Week of
Unleavened Bread - on the first day (the fourteenth day of
the month), on Passover, Jesus fulfilled the prophecy of
the last Passover lamb, His blood shed for us; this was
followed by the Feast of Unleavened Bread (the fifteenth
day of the same month), Jesus fulfilled the prophecy of
His sinless body - the bread - lying in the tomb; and then
we have Feast of Firstfruits - Jesus was the 'firstfruits'
of those that died, to be resurrected to Life. That
takes care of the first half of this sacred week.
But the special days do not stop there...there is
one more - one more sacred assembly or miqra - the last
day of Passover Week. Has anything prophetic
happened on that day? Could that day be a possible
day for the fulfillment of the Rapture? The Rapture
could be considered a call to assemble.
This last miqra is like the first (Passover) - on
the first day your are to hold a sacred assembly; you are
not to do any regular work. On the seventh day there
shall be a sacred assembly; you must not do any regular
work. So Passover and this seventh day are of equal
importance to the Lord? But what happened
prophetically on that day? Or it its fulfillment
still future?
run time 5:11
This second miqra is April 29/30 on the chabad.org
calendar.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
Maranatha~
