specifically enjoyed reading how you presented the
subject of Jesus confirming the covenant.
That
puts the focus of Daniel 9 on Jesus the Messiah, which
is also how I think the passage reads, as well.

I had
three questions:
1) what
was the purpose for the ark not being in the second
temple?
not
the reason, e.g. that it was hidden or stolen, but the
purpose, presumably from the LORD's perspective, i.e. is the purpose Haggai 2:9,
or is there more?
I
have thought that {Haggai 2:9} shows that although there
was not an ark with the mercy seat with the presence of
the LORD,
but
that the actual glory of God would enter the second
temple, which he did in a human body, i.e. Jesus
2) in
addition to the spiritual, will there yet be a physical
kingdom with Jesus sitting on the throne of David on
earth {Jeremiah 33:15-17; Acts 2:30} ?
where
the desert will become like a garden {Isaiah 51:3} and
wild beasts will be like meek pets of children {Isaiah
11:6-9}
where
lifespans will be long again, like a child still at 100
{Isaiah 65:20}
where
Israel, Assyria, and Egypt will be three together
{Isaiah 19:23-25}
3) There appears to be two
personages contrasted in the book of Revelation by a
number of different means
one
of the ways they are contrasted is by their character,
by comparing their character to that of a type of animal
Jesus
is referred to as the Lamb 26 times in that book
But
the other person is 35 times referred to as the beast: the
35 times excludes the references to the 4 beasts
about the throne, as well as the false prophet
There
can be an argument made that some of the 35 times refers
to his kingdom, but most references appear to be a person
empowered by the devil
However,
that beast blasphemes, is worshipped, appears to do signs
and wonders, and is eventually captured with the
false prophet and cast into the lake of fire
On
page 180 of your book, you mentioned:
There is no evidence or
reference in scripture that suggests that
‘Antichrist’ is an actual eschatological person!
yet
there is that opposing personage, whose character
is contrasted with that of Jesus
and
yet there is the personage described by Paul in II
Thessalonians 22:3-4, 8-9
So, who is that other personage
called the beast - or are you only
indicating that the beast is not actually called, "the
antichrist", in the scriptures?
