That is exciting to think about.

For years, people told me that we won't eat of the tree of life, because we don't need to, as we have eternal life in Christ.

Alright, but that doesn't mean that we cannot eat from it, or that we'll be commanded not to.

Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Jesus told those people in the church of Ephesus about eating of the tree of life.

Why say that, if later he would change it, so they would not be able to eat of it?

Here, now, before the blessed hope, we eat the words of life, as we read the word of God.

By doing so, we are enjoying, even now, in some way, that eternal life that he has given us, as we eat those words of life.

So, perhaps, for us eating of the tree of life, in eternity, may be similar.

It may be another way for us to enjoy that eternal life he has given us.
