I agree with you.

Any supposed alien contact has no doubt been, and will be, actually contact with fallen celestial beings, like angels.

Would they not tell people what they are hoping to hear? That they are aliens?

Is this not unlike, years ago, they appeared to men, saying that they were the gods, who were then worshipped as living on mount Olympus?

These faux aliens are no more benevolent than the ones with the book, "To Serve Man", on the Twilight Zone.
