(Jesus spoke of when they see the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place:)

Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

Matthew 23:38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

  39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

24:1a And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: 

 

(So, it was desolate from that point to 70 AD, then destroyed, then later with a structure to a false god currently on its site, and later to be rebuilt for the tribulation.

Certainly Israel, still in unbelief and defiance of the blood of the Lamb of God, cannot reinstitute animal sacrifices in a rebuilt temple,

expecting the same LORD, whom they still reject, to then "un-desolate" their new temple, after he had the Romans tear down their previous one,

by now having his glory fill that new temple, so they can kill animals instead of trusting his shed blood,

so that his glory would "un-desolate" the new temple, but the antichrist and false prophet would then make it desolate again?

That can't be.)

(The abomination of desolation will be the pinnacle of a 2,000 year desolation of that place.

(In the book of Daniel, it speaks of:)

Daniel 11:31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

(Did not that prophecy have a multi-part fulfillment?

Was not the first part fulfilled with Antiochus Epiphanes, which did make it desolate, until it was retaken and dedicated, as remembered at Hanukkah?

Will not the final part be with the antichrist?

It been desolate now for 2,000 years, will it not just reach its "pinnacle of desolation" with the antichrist?)
