(In our Bible, when we reach the end of Genesis, the last five words of the first book of the old testament is "in a coffin in Egypt":)

Genesis 50:26 So Joseph died, being an hundred and ten years old: and they embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Egypt.

(Seen in that first book, is where death came from, the sin of the first man, but it is clearly explained in the new testament:)

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

(Also, seen in Exodus, is that Egypt is a type of the world and the bondage of sin.

And that's where that first book of the old testament ends, completely in the world, enslaved in bondage, and dead in trespasses and sins.

And the law of the old testament cannot bring life:)

Galatians 3:21b  for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

(But Jesus, in the new testament, came to put an end to death, to deliver from bondage, and to bring life:)

Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

  14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

  15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

I John 2:25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

(And the last book of the Bible says this for us, about death:)

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall 

(Also in our Bible, when we reach the end of the Malachi, the last two words of the old testament is "a curse":)

Malachi 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

(Yet the very next line, the first line of the new testament, is the name, Jesus Christ.

And the new testament shows how Jesus takes care of the curse:)

Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

  13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

(And the last chapter of the Bible says this about the curse:)

Revelation 22:3a And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
