(The word trumpet, in it's various forms, plural, etc., is used over a hundred times in the scriptures. In Numbers 10 the command was to make two trumpets of silver:)
Numbers 10:2 Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps.
(But then, in Joshua 6, they were commanded to use seven ram's horns at Jericho:)
Joshua 6:4 And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.
(All those other times, it does not say what type of horn is used.I've always heard it taught, or preached, that the assumption, is that all the other times were ram's horns also. That today, for effect, or celebration, ram's horn shofars are blown. Is the assumption correct? Are all the other uses of trumpets, ram's horn trumpets?)
(At the blessed hope, will a silver trumpet be blown? Or will it be a ram's horn trumpet? Or is the trump of God made of something not of this world?)
I Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
I Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
(What about the seven trumpets that the angels blow in the tribulation? What type of trumpets are they?)
