John, Fay, and Doves,

 

So this is a follow up from my last email, sent just a few hours ago, in response to Fay’s email to me last week.

 

As I mentioned in my last email, we are in the application process to get our son Isaac into Job Corps. For the first time, he is really excited about something that is actually a realistic long-term goal for him at this point in his life.

 

We’ve been in this process since October of last year. A few weeks ago, we found out that the center he was originally planning to go to is full, and there is a long waiting list. It could be months, or even longer, before that center has openings. Upon inquiring further, we then learned that he could change his trade and get assigned to a different center. He was completely ok with that, so we started that process a little over a week ago to get him changed over. Everything has been moving along smoothly.

 

About the time I started writing my earlier email, I started receiving follow up emails from his Job Corps counselor. There’s a possible hitch in the process, and it’s now questionable that he will be approved at all now. Now, mind you, he was just approved back in January to go to the other center. But with him changing campuses, they have to start the process all over. It’s the same paperwork, so there shouldn’t be a problem. We all know there are absolutely no coincidences!

 

We also know that satan hates when we praise the Lord- especially when we continue to praise Him in the midst of adversity. So I have no doubt that satan is just really upset about me testifying to the faithfulness and goodness of our God, and wants to cause a little uproar. The timing of all of this doesn’t surprise me in the least!

 

But God!  We are TRUSTING that God is going to open this door for Isaac!

 

We covet your prayers- that God will vanquish every single roadblock that is being thrown up in this process, and that Isaac will be approved with no hiccups or delay at all, and that he will be able to leave for Job Corp quickly. He is very anxious to get started. We do not want to see his enthusiasm dashed. Obviously, God has big plans for Isaac’s life, and the enemy does not want those plans to be fulfilled. He does not want Isaac to overcome. BUT GOD! We have taught our children that they were made for greatness and created for a purpose- and that whatever purpose they were created for was to bring glory to the greatness of our God.

 

Thank you all for joining us in this urgent prayer request before the throne of God! We know that we will overcome by the power of the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony! I will continue to testify to the greatness of my God! Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! REJOICE!! Praises be to our God and King forever and ever!
