I realize that there are teachings out there that the beast is kingdom, or that it is a man, or that it is both.

I would like to ask those who believe that he is, oar that he also is, a man.

Also, who believe that it is the man, and not the kingdom, or not only the kingdom, that receives the deadly wound:

Revelation 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

  14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

My question is, "who gives the beast the deadly wound"?

I realize that the kingdom aspect is explained, with something like:

the kingdom is the Ottoman empire that received its mortal wound right at the conclusion of WWI,

but now they are coming back, 100 years later.

or similar explanations, which make sense regarding a kingdom

But I was trying to find out, from those who believe the beast ("the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man"),

who they think gives the man the deadly wound?
