What is the mist of darkness?

II Peter 2:17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

A mist of water is where there are either tiny suspended or falling droplets, which you can feel.

Can the mist of darkness be felt?

Exodus 10:21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.

Will it be like that?

It is a judgment, so how terrifying will it be?
