The Ever Given is basically being held hostage. According to the article, the Egyptian canal authorities are demanding huge loot from the Japanese owners....to compensate for lost revenue incurred by the Suez being jammed up.

Huh! Many container ships were stuck in the canal for 8 years during the Suez Canal crisis in the late 60's to early 70's. I imagine Egypt can afford to bide their time. I remain convinced there is prophetic significance to this.
