Hi John and Doves,
After watching this short 5 minute YT clip - I have sat and thought. Foregoing our human, emotional reaction to our LORD, we also have to realise what a jealous God our Almighty LORD is.
He demands our ENTIRE WHOLE-HEARTED ALLEGIANCE. Nothing less is good enough. And this is because of physics. Our LORD Almighty God's creation. If we don't commit ourselves to desiring the knowledge of TOTAL PURITY - we are not realising our full potential. The idea of purity may, initially, sound rather dull. BUT - try to imagine what ecstasy TOTAL PURITY must feel like. It must be incredible Sheer happiness. Nothing to threaten or blur the lines. We won't be imprisoned by it - we will be set free by it. Totally and utterly FREE. All hindrances gone.
I imagine that we will be able to explore everything. We will be trusted - because our intentions will be pure and good. Our Almighty God will grant us that gift. We simply cannot do it on our own. I cannot wait. I GROAN to have my (currently) limited spirit - trapped inside this faulty avatar...set FREE. In such a safe space. SO safe - it almost hurts. So beautiful - it evokes tears. Such beautiful fragrance, music, flowers. And our minds will be allowed to expand. Expand to such a degree that we will laugh and spin with joy. Tumble turns, somersaults and hand-stands.
It is not mere works that prove our faith and worthiness. It is the aching desire we have to see our LORD. To be like our LORD. To crave that dimension that offers the purity and freedom we all need. Worshipping and serving our LORD will most certainly not be a hardship. Every chance we get - we'll be in joyous line to give unadulterated thanks. To sing praises of gratitude and joy.
Although Almighty God promises to remove every tear from our eyes ... he has not said He is going to wipe out our memories. Because the only way we will always appreciate the next dimension with our LORD is by remembering just how AWFUL it was without Him.
Please come, LORD Jesus. We need you.
