"The Great I AM"

Greetings my friends in Jesus Christ : I was reading thru the Book of Exodus when I came across the powerful two words that God used to describe His name to Moses - I AM. In Exodus 3:14 " God said to Moses, I AM THAT I AM, thus shall you say to the children of Israel, I AM has sent Me to you ". Then in John 8:58 Jesus said to the Jews - " Verily I say to you, before Abraham was born, I AM . These two simple words "I AM" are what God uses to define His pure and eternal existence

Jesus our Lord and Savior uses " I AM " seven times in the Gospel of John and twice in the Book of Revelation.

John 6:35    -  I AM  the bread of life
John 8:12    -  I AM  the light of the world
John 10:7    -  I AM  the door of the sheep
John 10:14  -  I AM  the good shepherd
John  11:25 -  I AM  the resurrection and the life
John  14:6  -   I AM  the way, the truth and the life
John  15:1  -   I AM  the true vine

Revelation 1:17     -  I AM the first and the last
Revelation  22:16  -  I AM the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star

Now here are some personal life changing I am's  to consider in your own life :

I am only going to have eternal life and go to heaven if I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior
I am only going to grow in my faith if I read the bible, spend time in prayer and go to church
I am only going to experience being a servant of God by letting God use me in His service
I am only going to store up treasures in heaven by denying myself and doing God's will
I am only going to know the mind and heart of God by studying His Holy Word - the bible

The Great I AM sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty in heaven, but one day the Lion of the tribe of Judah will return to earth in His full power and glory as the KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS. But until that wonderful day happens, we are to continue to worship and serve Him. There are so many ways you can serve the Lord with you time, talents and resources. If your not sure how God can use your life in His service, just ask God, He will tell you !

Have a blessed day in the Lord,  Gary Rich
