"Ceasefire? Peace Deal? U.N. ?"

A short two minute clip in the link. What caught my attention is the U.N. stating they are running out of money and are closing three quarters of their "humanitarian activities". What I read into this is that the U.N. are saying they cannot afford to fund this war anymore. Which is why they are trying to close it down for now. Without U.N. "supervision", the war could get completely out of their control and they will lose their sphere of influence. Other forces, beyond U.N. control, could very well take over.

Think about it, Doves. Why haven't the U.N. attempted to invoke a ceasefire before? If a ceasefire is possible - why hasn't it been done before? Now that the U.N. has lost the bulk of it's funding, due to Covid 19, they are terrified of losing the power that goes with it. The ongoing war suited their purposes. This virus has sure got the worms crawling out of the woodwork.
