"The Church is not
raptured - the Bride is."
The Church and the Bride are not the
same. Not all believers who are going to heaven have denied
themselves and picked up their crosses to follow Jesus - they
are not His disciples and therefore "not worthy" of Him. He is
not their first love. (read letters to the seven churches in
revelation 2,3) Some are not faithful servants. Some have not
remained in Him. Some have not kept themselves unspotted from
the world, unwrinkled and blameless. Some have not kept the
faith and endured until the end. Some refused to walk the narrow
path.
The Bride has made herself "ready", is filled with the Spirit -
she (they) have listened to what the Spirit is saying to the
churches and obeyed. Since the beginning of the Church believers
have become "worthy" of Christ and they are His Bride. The
Rapture is an event at the End of the Church Age to rescue
Christ's Bride. Those left behind are no longer the Church and
must now pay the price (5 foolish virgins) for the oil (Spirit).
Their faith must be tested through Great Tribulation. The Bride
will be taken out of the Church like Eve was taken out from
Adam's body - Jesus is the second Adam.
