"The tragedy of history is that revival comes and goes, and
subsequent generations build monuments around the achievements
of the previous generations, but do not completely receive and
occupy their inherited spiritual territory.
Perhaps they don't want to pay the same price their forefathers
paid, or perhaps they end up forming organizations around past
movements to preserve and defend the idea but not the practice
of revival.
They inherit territory for free, but do not pay the price to
develop it, and so they lose it. You see, it's possible to
live in inherited territory for a time without advancing that
territory. But if we want to hold onto that territory, we must
expand it, and to expand it we will have to pay a price." - Bill
