Imminent Day of the Lord
Zephaniah 1 v 14 The great day of the Lord is near; It is near and hastens quickly.
15 That day is a day of wrath, A day of trouble and distress,
A day of devastation and desolation, A day of darkness and gloominess,
A day of clouds and thick darkness, 16 A day of trumpet and alarm
Against the fortified cities, and against the high towers.(Isaiah 13) Wail, for the day of the Lord is at hand! It will come as destruction from the Almighty. Every man’s heart will melt, they will be in pain as a woman in childbirth;
9 Behold, the day of the Lord comes, and He will destroy its sinners from it.
10 For the stars of heaven and their constellations will not give their light;
The Sun will be darkened in its going forth, and the Moon will not cause its light to shine.One key to the Day of the Lord in Revelation is to understand that John was taken, in the Spirit, to the (future) Day of the Lord. Most good commentaries will indicate that Sunday was referred to as the first day of the week in the early Church, and that the Lord’s Day was the Day of the Lord, an unveiling of Jesus Christ in the Day of the Lord.
(Revelation 1 v 9 to 11) I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet, 11 saying, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last,” and, “What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches.
The signs of the Lord's very soon return and the Rapture have never been stronger!! The world is in chaos! What is being birthed and when will the Day of the Lord start? Very, very SOON!! The Rapture could be just a twinkling of an eye away!!
There are maybe only two signs that may presage the Day of the Lord. First, the Coming of Elijah in Malachi 4 v 5 - before the Day of the Lord. This can happen very quickly. Elijah, John the Baptist and Jesus all appeared quite suddenly and out of obscurity. The second is the revealing of the Antichrist. The current world chaos is a vacuum seeking one who can solve the world’s problems. WHO!? Interesting that WHO is so prominent right now in the midst of the Covid 19 crisis.
There is an interesting book title that I have seen, although I have not had the opportunity to read the book. Elijah vs Antichrist: The End-Time Battle! A book by Ken Mentell. The summary is
The most robust and complete end-time prophecy commentary series of our time. In the end-time a final battle will commence between Elijah and the Antichrist! Jesus said, "Elijah truly shall first come, and restore all things." Will you listen to Elijah or to the Antichrist?
The Day of the Lord, a theme throughout the prophets, is IMMINENT!!
