Corona Virus: 2020 a Passover Like No Other!
(almost all families across the world in isolation)
The first Passover (in Egypt) showed the importance of protection for each family through the Blood of the Lamb. The blood had to be applied to the sides and top of the door.
(Genesis 11 v 1 and 4) The Lord said to Moses, “I will bring one more plague on Pharaoh and on Egypt. Afterward he will let you go from here. When he lets you go, he will surely drive you out of here altogether. About midnight I will go out into the midst of Egypt.
(Genesis 12 v 12) For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment. I am the Lord. 13 Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.
Corona Virus has, like hardly ever before (since the first Passover), shown the importance of each family protecting itself from Covid 19. Covid 19 has also impacted on how strictly Jews can adhere to Passover commands in Israel and other parts of the world. New York has the largest number of Jews outside of Israel and will be in the very midst of the worst of the Corona Virus during Passover.
Passover 2020 provides a unique opportunity for Christians to proclaim the power of the blood of Jesus Christ to cleanse and protect those who trust the Passover Lamb!
Social Distancing and Jesus
In this time of isolation we have the great promise of Jesus (Matthew 18 v 19, 20)
Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
In Australia now, when you are outside we are limited to a household or just two persons. But we have the assurance of a third person with us One Who is unseen!! What a powerful comfort to all us Christians, to know that He is walking with us!!! When I was young my godly parents had a plaque on the wall, with a great message.
Christ is the Head of this house
