"Destructive Winds on Pentecost Island (Vanuatu)"

Destructive Winds on Pentecost Island (Vanuatu)ob

(Acts 2 1,2 NKJV)  When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

The signs of the Lord’s imminent Return keep coming!  In the last week or so a very, very strong tropical cyclone developed off the Australian Coast.  It was named Harold – this name means Army Leader.  First, it went through the Solomon Islands, then Vanuatu with extensive damage on Pentecost Island and the largest island Espiritu Santos (Holy Spirit).  This was one of the strongest tropical cyclones in decades and sadly caused a lot of wind damage and flooding, including on Fiji and Tonga.  With all that is happening with Covid 19, the time from Passover to Pentecost could be extraordinary!!

Another Island  Burials in Potter’s Field on Hart Island

(the Bronx, New York)

There were images on our television of Covid 19 related burials on Hart Island.  There is an interesting article on this in the New York Times titled  As Morgues Fill, N.Y.C. to Bury Some Virus Victims in Potter’s Field (which is on Hart island, The Bronx).

The number of internments has drastically increased on Hart Island, where for 150 years the city has buried its poor or unclaimed dead.  The link to the article is below.

The article comments that more than 1 million New Yorkers are buried on Hart Island. The city still buries 1,000 bodies a year there, including unclaimed homeless, stillborn babies and poor New Yorkers whose families do not have the money to bury them.

There are two noteworthy aspects.  First, the chief priests used Judas’ 30 pieces of silver to buy land for the burial of strangers (the Potter’s Field).

(Matthew 27 NKJV)  But the chief priests took the (30) silver pieces and said, “It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, because they are the price of blood.” And they consulted together and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in. Therefore that field has been called the Field of Blood to this day.

Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying, “And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the value of Him who was priced, whom they of the children of Israel priced, 10 and gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord directed me.”

Secondly, Jesus gave great insights into the love of the Father, including that we are of more value than many sparrows.  For those who lose their lives through Covid 19, whether someone famous or an unclaimed stranger on Hart Island, we know that our Heavenly Father’s love covers them.

(Matthew 10 NKJV)  Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin?  And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
