1 Cor 10:31 (12 Apr 2020)
"Boy, did she ever make a beeline for the exit to get away from me!!"

I promise, Christians!  This is not “pick on Church of Christ” week or anything like that!  I’ve known some good Church of Christ people over the years, been friends with some, neighbors with others, related to a few, and some among them were true-blue godly Christians!!

I’ve never stepped foot inside one of their churches & likely never will.  Too many things bother me:

Even much-beloved & gifted author, Max Lucado, (C.O.C. preacher) believes in the Second Coming of Christ ONLY ~ NOT IN THE separate event rapture!!!

And why, why, W H Y   is it they can always talk about “GOD” yet this is the honest truth, though they call themselves Church OF CHRIST, I personally NEVER hear any of them talk about the Lord JESUS!!!!!  Who do they think CHRIST is anyway??

At any rate…..

So when I met up with (we’ll call her Kathy) this past week at WalMart (she’s a friend of a friend, so we’ve never known each other well nor been close other than the fact that we have a mutual friend….. in fact, “Kathy” and I only run into each other about once a year at the grocery store!)

So she announced how she wished “this was over”  (covid quarantines which we’ll all tired of) & said she wished things would get back to normal – finally for once in my life, I decided it’s high time I stop being shy & just out & out talk about what’s really coming down the pike!

My response:  “I don’t think things ARE going to get back to normal!  I think this is all leading up to the rapture and then the mark of the beast!”

BOY HOWDY!!!!

That was all I needed to say!  Instantly I was transformed into a cult-follower who needed to be shunned.  Was almost funny to watch her make a beeline away from me, for that matter I don’t think she said bye or anything – just moved to get away from me as quickly as possible!!

Left me wondering if their church (or the one she attends anyway)  even TELLS their people to shun others who talk about the ahem, “fairy tale” of the rapture!

Guess we’ll find out soon enough who exactly believes in fairy tales.
