When I was still lost, and in the catholic church, didn't I, on Good Friday and Easter, repeat some of the things that backsliding Israel did?

Ezekiel 8:9 And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.

  10 So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about.

Wasn't that very similar to the way I worshipped the stations of the cross?

There were fourteen sets of graven images, portrayed on the wall, sticking out 3 dimensionally, seven on the left side, and seven on the right.

They were supposed to cover various events of the day of the crucifixion.

However, the scriptures doesn't speak of "Veronica wiping the face of Jesus", on the Via Dolorosa, though

I, like everyone else, there, on Good Friday, stopped at each set of graven images to pray and worship for a while.

Then I moved on to the next set of graven images.

I worshipped at the seven sets of graven images on the one side, and then came to the front.

There, the crucifix (the cross with a graven image of Jesus on it) was taken down from the front wall.

It was placed up near the front, laying down, where we could all take turns kissing the graven image on the cross.

Then I worshipped at the other sets of graven images on the other side.

Also, didn't I similarly do like backsliding Israel with the following?

Ezekiel 8:15 Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these.

  16 And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD’S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.

Wasn't the sunrise service that we had on Easter morning exactly like that?
