A horrible story. I am posting this link because it has a beautiful picture of the cross that continued to glow amid the ash and destruction. Reminding me of the steel cross that was formed out of the destruction of the twin towers. Our LORD is with us - through it all.

However, I smell a rat. People are asking questions. The length of time it took the firefighters to get there etc. President Trump very sensibly advised them to drop water on the cathedral from above. They said they couldn't do that as it endangered the building! WHAT? The building was on fire, already. Endangered already. They added that dropping the water from above could hurt people on the ground as well! So - clear the area... would be the most obvious thing to do. It doesn't add up. Macron has issued a plea for every single French citizen - and people of the world to each donate to the restoration of Notre Dame. Huh! What Macron could not extract via his hated "carbon tax" (which kick started the yellow vest riots) he can extract through this tragedy. If Macron really gave a tiny rat's bum about the beauty of Paris, he would have acted to preserve it from further degradation, a long time ago.

These leaders and political powers haven't quite realised that people have lost their innocence. Thanks to them and their evil. We no longer have blind faith that our political leaders have our best interests at heart. They still think we are blinded by media stories - dazzled by Hollywood actors. If anything - they have taken the shine off everything. We can see, clearly, how pathetic they all really are.
