"70 year time frame
2018"
This is a response to another person regarding 70 year time
periods within the Bible, and how God may perform the same
activity in this modern age that we live in.

I’ve been thinking the same thing too, the fact that israel is
celebrating its 70th year from when it became a modern nation on
may 14th 1948 (Iyar 5 5708), on April 19th 2018 (Iyar 5 5778) is
highly significant.
Just wanted to share a few more points as well
Firstly the last generation.
Back when jesus was on earth he told a parable about fig tree.
The fig tree represents Israel.
Jesus says that when the fig tree begins to put forth leaves
then we know the end is near.
Matthew 24:32-34
32 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch
has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that
summer is near. 33 So you also, when you see all these things,
know that it is near—at the doors! 34 Assuredly, I say to
you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these
things take place.
When did the fig tree begin to put forth leaves ?
The fig tree (Israel) began to put forth leaves back in 1948
when the land was restored to the Jews after nearly 2000 years
of being exiled from it.
Notice that Jesus said at the end of the parable "this
generation will by no means pass away till ALL these things take
place". In this verse the generation that Jesus was talking
about was the generation in 1948 who saw Israel become a nation.
It is this generation who will not pass, They will still be
alive too see the second coming of Christ.
There is a lot of speculation as to how long a generation is in
scripture.
But if we’re taking about a specific group who will still be
alive then we need to consider the general lifespan of a man.
How long is a average lifespan in the Bible ?
Psalm 90:10
The days of our years are threescore years and ten (70); and if
by reason of strength they be fourscore years (80), yet is their
strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly
away.
70 year pattern
God always takes action on israel in 70 year time periods such
as the Babylonian captivity ect...
Jeremiah 29:10
10 For thus saith the Lord, That after seventy years be
accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good
word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
During this time the jews were physically removed from the land
of israel for 70 years and placed into Babylonian captivity due
to their disobedience.
Another thing that is intriguing is that if we read the book of
job, one could interpret the story as being an allusion to
israel suffering in exile, waiting to be brought back and
blessed by God.
At the end of the story, after job repented, we see that when he
was restored back to God he ended up receiving double the
possessions he had to begin with
Job 42:10
And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his
friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
Job 42:12-13
So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his
beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand
camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
13 He had also seven sons and three daughters.
He also died at the age 140
Job 42:16
Job lived 140 years after that, living to see four generations
of his children and grandchildren.
i’ve always wondered whether God also doubled Job’s lifespan as
well ?
If he did indeed do so, if we half 140 then job’s tribulation
would have began when he was 70 years of age.
Though the israel has been restored physically they still have
not be restored spiritually and are still in darkness .
After 70 years are complete of occupying the land in spiritual
blindness, could God then decide to remove it ?
The day israel officially turns 70 he begins his restorative
work on the nation ?
God does not change, he is the same today, yesterday and
tommorow. Could God decide to do the same thing again today ?
We will just have to wait and see.
Just wanted to share that as I thought It was interesting and I
hope it encourages everyone to look forward to the return of our
Lord Jesus Christ.
God Bless
