Doves,
Is there a connection between Malachi 4, Zechariah 14 and Ezekiel 38? It's my firm belief there is.
In Malachi 4 we see a day coming when the Lord of hosts burns up the wicked and their children..... “leaves them neither root nor branch”. I believe He does this when He comes as The Sun of Righteous (verse 2) in the cubed city, New Jerusalem. Which will, for some period of time, take the place of our sun.
It appears from Malachi 4 that God, as The Sun of Righteousness, selectively burns up a group of people who are wicked and saves those who know and fear His name.
What prompts God to administer this wrath in the form of heat....this heat seemingly to emanate directly from The Sun of Righteousness?
I believe this is answered fully in Zechariah 14. There I believe we are looking at the same event as in Malachi. There in Zechariah 14:12 we see this “the burning of the wicked” is described as a plague. A plague directed onto all the people who fought against Jerusalem and their children.
Who are these people?
These masses of people are those who come against Israel to conquer it and take Jerusalem. They are described and listed in Ezekiel 38.
And there in Ezekiel 38 we also see similar / same verbiage describing this same fire wrath event spoken of in Malachi and Zechariah. In verse 18 …..”says the Lord God......that My fury will show in my face......For in My jealousy and in the fire of my wrath I have spoken”
The exacting detail of this …..burning like an oven (Malachi), fire of My wrath (Ezekiel) is portrayed in Zechariah 14:12 in a horrific manor. Stated there, it says....Their flesh will dissolve while they stand on their feet. Their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets, And their tongues will dissolve in their mouths.
From what is now going on in the Middle East..... major war is imminent and could break out at any minute. Taking into consideration my other post on the cube city of New Jerusalem likely already being in our sky above and God as The Sun of Righteousness being there poised and ready for the attack on Israel and Jerusalem.......wow!!!! that's an amazing story line and also a terrifying thought to be on the receiving end of God's wrath for those (and their families) who will come with hate in their hearts to capture God's holy city and eradicate His chosen people.
Psalms 121:4
“Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.”
I believe we can all read between the lines as to who will find themselves on the receiving end of God's fiery wrath. I believe some though like Russia will just end up in the wrong place at the wrong time backing the wrong horse. What I mean is Russians really don't like Muslims so why are they aligned with them? (oil)
And a lot of Russians are Christians but somehow they got sucked into this fight, one I don't believe they wanted and will literally forever regret.
I believe God stated it best in Ezekiel 38 when He said.....”I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army.....”
I believe that when God does intervene for Israel it will start / be the opening of the sixth seal, the Day of the Lord and all that that entails.....great world wide earthquake, sun dark, moon blood colored, stars falling to earth, sky rolling up like a scroll, rapture of the church, etc. etc.
Hope I gave you Doves some verses to ponder on. The whole scenario is laid out there in scripture for all to read....... and to be amazed by.
Blessings Doves......John B
PS.....Good time to snuggle up to Luke 21:36 and again to remember.....
“Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.”
