The Terminal Generation

The Nation of Israel Reborn-The Parable of the Fig Tree and All the Trees

This article analyzes and discusses the parable of the fig tree and all the trees.  It analyzes all three gospel accounts and additional accounts of fig trees in Scripture.  It is about 8 pages and supported by approximately 70 scriptural citations.  You can read this article as an Adobe document at:  https://9-11-2017.com/2018/04/06/the-terminal-generation/

The article concludes with the following:

The parable of the Fig Tree speaks about the generation which witnesses the appearance of nations of the world united and the rebirth of the nation of Israel.  We are the generation Jesus described!  The Psalmist declares that a generation is 70 years[1].   In 2018, we are at the end of Israel's first 70 years in the land.  The fig tree is 70 years old.  When considering Zechariah 1:12's 70 years, we should be on high alert for the Day of Christ![2]

We have witnessed the birth of "all the trees" in the League of Nations and the United Nations, both of which played a fundamental role in the establishment of the national State of Israel.  We have witnessed the birth of that nation in a day.[3]

What people has ever survived the likes of 1,878 years of persecuting exile having been scattered to the four corners of the world.  No people, not ever, but the Jew!

What should we expect now?   The parable of the fig tree and all the trees says that the generation which witnesses the fig tree appear, grow and produce leaves, Israel 2018, will see the day of the Lord.

For Christ's own, the day of the Lord is known as the Day of Christ.[4]  It will be at His appearance as described in 1 Corinthians 15:52 and 1 Thessalonians 4:17.

For all who have rejected Christ, the day of the Lord will begin following the Day of Christ with sudden destruction.[5]

For me,  I expectantly await His appearance on the Feast of Conclusion[6], Pentecost 2018, at the day and hour known only to Him, my Rock, my Salvation, my God Most High.

[6] Note:  The Feast of Conclusion is another name which the Jews have given to Pentecost/Shavuot.  Shavuot marks the conclusion of the seven-week period known as sefirat ha-Omer, the counting of the Omer.  It will be the conclusion of the two-step redemption promised: earnest deposit of the Holy Spirit followed by the redemption/glorification of the body, and so, Israel shall be provoked to jealousy. (Romans 9:32, 10:19-20, 11:11; Deuteronomy 32:21; 2 Corinthians 3:14; Isaiah 8:14)
