"RE: Gerry Almond & Ron Reese: 04.01.18: left behind"

Gerry,
You had mentioned in your letter, "urgent message",
"Those who have accepted Jesus as their personal Savior but have not desired to live for Him. Please repent of this attitude and cry out to Him to help you. Tell Him that you do not want to be left behind to suffer under the rule of antichrist."

Ron,
You have also mentioned somethings similar to what Gerry has.

From what I've seen over the years, only an extremely small subset know about the teaching that some Christians would be left behind.
If this was to happen this way, those Christians left behind will most likely never have heard that teaching.
So, if they were to find themselves left behind, they would immediately think that they had never been saved in the first place.
Or perhaps, even some of them would think they had "lost their salvation", like in a "re-tread" service.
These are radically different conditions, backslid, re-tread, or lost.
A backslider, or re-treader, trying to "get saved again", is completely missing the point of why they would still be here.
They would bypass the soul-searching, conviction, godly sorrow and repentance of a prodigal son.
Rather they would go straight to the sinners prayer.
They would be attempting to repent as someone who was never in the family, desiring to be saved and adopted by the LORD.
Instead, a prodigal son needs to return to the Father, as a wayward son, and repent of that.
He cannot ignore or bypass the repenting as a wayward son, for that is what he has done.
He cannot come confessing something different.
That is why re-tread services lead to still more re-tread services, because they are always bypassing what they need to repent of.

So, if some Christians are left behind at the blessed hope, will they know their true condition?
Will they know that they are prodigal sons?
Or will they think that they are simply someone who has never been saved and never part of the family?
It will dramatically affect how they come to the LORD, as well as what they will be repenting of.
