Hello John and Doves,
In continuing with information about the month of Iyar and the 17th/18th days or Lag B'Omer - Lag means '33' and Hitler committed suicide on the 17th of Iyar, and the Great Flood started on the 17th of Iyar. This year May 2/3 is Iyar 17/18. https://www.chabad.org/calendar/view/month.asp?tdate=5/27/2018
A very interesting and significant month!
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
Back in Nov 8, 2011, Ron Reese wrote a letter to Doves (8 Nov 2011) "THE 17TH DAY OF THE 2ND MONTH--GOD'S JUDGMENT DAY" http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/nov2011/ronr118.htm
Genesis 7:11: “In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.”

Holiday Name And Meaning:
The name Lag B'Omer literally means the 33rd day of the (counting of the) Omer. Lag is not really so much a word but is used here because Lag has a numerical value (gematria) in Hebrew of 33
Uniqueness of Holiday:
This holiday is considered by some a festival that also celebrates the downfall of Adolf Hitler.Adolph Hitler committed suicide on April 30, 1945, at 3:30 p.m. This is also the 17th of Iyar 5705. His body was set on fire in the late afternoon and burned until dusk. The 18th of Iyar which is Lag B'Omer, therefore, marks the end of the Hitler era.(1)
