"Suspicious Iranian Cargo Flights to Syria"

Hello John and Doves,

Intelligence agencies are reporting many suspicious Iranian flights to Syria from Iran with unknown cargo (since Israel bombed that T4 Syrian/Iranian air base and the U.S. and allies did some bombing in Syria) -  looks like something big is coming!

Two articles below are about these deliveries/flights.  The second article gives more specifics about the planes and cities involved.

Add this to Iran announcing that they have picked a date for the destruction of Israel.   (See my other letter to Five Doves today.)

Maranatha!

US Concerns Rise with Report on Iran-Syria ‘Suspicious Cargo’
Thursday, 26 April, 2018 - 08:45
Washington - Cairo - Asharq Al-Awsat
A US administration source revealed on Wednesday that intelligence services in his country are closely monitoring what he described as “suspicious air cargo” between Iran and Syria, suspected of carrying weapons or military systems.
Israel and the United States suspect a series of cargo flights from Iran to Syria may be transporting weapons to the head of the Syrian regime, Bashar Assad, and Iranian forces in his country, CNN reported on Wednesday.
While weapons shipments into Syria are not uncommon, cargo involving Iran have caught the attention of US intelligence because they occurred in the days after the April 13 US airstrikes on regime targets in the war-torn country.
Rhetoric between Iran and Israel has also escalated in recent weeks over Tehran's involvement in areas of Syria that can be used to potentially launch missiles or aircraft that could target Israel.
Iran is threatening to "respond appropriately sooner or later" to the strike on the Syrian regime's T4 air base near the western city of Homs, an attack which caused Iranian casualties. Iranian reports acknowledged the killing of at least 7 Iranians in the strike.
Moscow and Damascus have confirmed that Israel bombed the airport. Israeli reports have also indicated that Israel's northern border is on a state of alert amid fears of a possible response from Iran or its Lebanon-based proxy “Hezbollah.”

Israel and the United States suspect a series of cargo flights from Iran to Syria may be transporting weapons to Syrian President Bashar Assad and Iranian forces in his country, CNN reported on Wednesday.

Jerusalem and Washington are worried the cargo planes could be carrying arms that would be aimed at Israel.

Among the flights that caught the attention of US intelligence were two flights by Syrian Air Force IL-76 cargo jets and at least one of an Iranian cargo jet, according to CNN.

A YK-ATD plane has been making regular flights between the two countries in the wake of the Western strike. A look at its flight routes shows the plane took off last week from Damascus to Tehran, a two hour flight. Six hours later, the plane was back in the air returning to Syria, but this time to an airport in Aleppo, north of Homs. After several hours on the ground, the plane took off again to a Syrian air force base in Damascus.

This unusual flight route was repeated at least three times over the past week, and it is believed the plane was transporting military equipment from the Revolutionary Guards to Assad's forces.

Another Syrian cargo plane, a YK-ATB, has also been making regular flights over the past week between Aleppo and Damascus.

While arms transfers between Iran and Syria are not unusual, American intelligence has been monitoring these flights in light of Iranian threats to retaliate for an attack on the T-4 airbase in Syria, which has been attributed to Israel.
