Hello
John and Doves,
We
are currently in the 'counting of the Omer' time period.
The days between the second day of Passover (the Exodus) to
the first day of Shavuot (the giving of the Torah, and
Pentecost).
The
Great Flood began on the 17th day of the 2nd month (Iyar).
"According to other
traditions, Lag B'Omer is believed to be the day in which
the Great Flood began: "In the six hundredth year of
Noah's life, on the seventeenth day of the second month –
on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth,
and the floodgates of the heavens were opened," (Genesis
7:11)." Also, "on Lag B'Omer
1948, the official order inducting the Israeli Defense
Forces was given." https://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3540212,00.html
Wonder if this day will be
significant this year...looks like another date to watch.
Pray for the peace of
Jerusalem!
Maranatha!
