"FORGIVENESS"

FORGIVENESS

We are supposed to Forgive those who have wronged us. They could be an
enemy, a competitor, friend?, even a relative...and especially a Loved One who has
done us a wrong or otherwise hurt us in some manner. Hard to do, but JESUS asked
us to do so.  Even 77 times if asked.  Whoa,..what was that last part ?  "IF ASKED"
What does that mean,.."if asked"?  It simply means that IF..they ask to be Forgiven,
we are supposed to Forgive them, for whatever. Obviously they MUST ASK to be
Forgiven in order to BE Forgiven.  So we can conclude that their "asking" can be
understood to mean they are SORRY for whatever it is they need Forgiving for. Okay,
what does feeling SORRY equate to ?  REPENTANCE !  They Repent of their deed(s)
That must be why REPENTANCE is so expressed in the New Testament.  It also
is a PREREQUISITE to Receive Forgiveness of our SINS by GOD thru JESUS' dying
on the Cross, for GOD'S Forgiveness to happen. We are NOT asked to "blanket"
Forgive everybody...only those that ASK us to Forgive them. This (mis)understanding
is another Scriptural Truth that has been hi-jacked like the "Love one another"
Command which is referencing "Believers" to Love one another. Not "Loving" false
teachers (wolves in sheep's clothing) and etc. So when John the Baptist was telling
people to Repent..he was saying to ADMIT their wrong doing and ASK for GOD to
Forgive them.  REPENTANCE=ADMISSION  or the Realization of Wrongdoing and
Regretting it.  REGRETTING being KEY  If you didn't regret having Sinned...you
couldn't be Forgiven.  So, in my opinion, "blanket" Forgiveness for any and all is NOT
Scripturally sound.....that is NOT what we are asked to do.  So feeling guilty for not
Forgiving everybody for everything is of satan.  Pray about this and listen to what
the HOLY SPIRIT says about this.....HE ALWAYS TELLS THE TRUTH !
