"SIN IN SCRIPTURE : A
HIDDEN CORRELATION TO EAST-WEST MOVEMENT"
"As far as the EAST is from the WEST , so far hath he
removed our
transgressions from us." Psalm 103:12
Friends , readers, and anyone interested .....
There is an inference in the above Psalm , an implication that
there might
be a connection between directional movement in scripture and
good and
evil. Often in scripture the movement of individuals is noted as
they
either fall into sin or resist it. Hidden throughout the
Biblical text ,
here is another example , that the words of Scripture come not
from man ,
but the words of scripture are "God Breathed", just as
scripture claims.
The Creator of the universe, the One who both counts and
observes our
steps , has recorded every detail, even movement, for our
learning.
Movement of individuals in scripture WEST is always connected
with seeking
God , following His will , and resisting evil. And
movement of people to
the EAST is always connected to ignoring God's will , resisting
God's will
, and falling into an evil snare. Do you ever wonder
why small details ,
the names of villages and small creeks are given in scripture
? Get out
your map.
Abraham lived in Ur. The Lord tells Abraham that he is to move
from Ur but
does not disclose the destination. Abraham , seeking to obey ,
ends up in
Canaan , directly WEST of Ur.
Abraham speaks to his cousin Lot upon arrival in Canaan and
offers Lot the
first choice of selecting the property he wants. Lot looks
"EASTward" and
selects the lush valley of the Jordan and Sodom. He leaves the
barren,
WESTern hills of Judea and Jerusalem to Abraham. Gen 13:11
Adam and Eve are removed and expelled from the garden of Eden.
The Lord
placed two cherubim with flaming swords at the EAST entrance of
Eden as
they are removed. They leave facing and going EAST. To
enter Eden again
they come facing WEST but are prevented from entering by
fire and swords.
Gen 3:24
The only entrance to both the Temple and the Tabernacle faced to
the EAST.
Therefore, to enter the sanctuary one would be facing and moving
WEST. To
approach the Holy place and to seek God , your movement is
WEST and as one
departs your movement is EAST as you are leaving the Temple.
There came three wise men from the EAST seeking One born as
Messiah. The
three wise men are going WEST , seeking a Messiah. When they
depart to go
home , leaving the Messiah , they are going EAST. Mt 2:1
Israel , held as slaves in Egypt , cross the Red Sea going EAST.
They are
in unbelief and in opposition to God and His prophet, Moses.
They spend 40
years in the wilderness wandering , a full
generation, millions of
people, millions of wasted lives.
Israel, after spending 40 years in unbelief and wandering
, now crosses
the Jordan river with a new generation. They are going
WEST. Israel takes
their land, believing it is theirs as promised to them by God.
Elijah is sent WEST from Gilead to (an unnamed) widow at
Zarepath. Elijah
does exactly as directed by God although he does not know
the widow. 1
Kings17:1-9. Zarepath is located on the sea coast of Lebanon.
Gilead is
directly EAST, in Gad.
Cain killed his brother Abel and is punished in the EAST. Gen.
4:16
People from the EAST build the tower of Babel. Gen 11:2
Jonah , attempting to flee from God, heads WEST to Tarshish, but
is
swallowed by a great fish and carried back EAST and pointed
toward Ninevah
to the EAST. This is one of two examples of a man trying to go
in the wrong
direction but being thwarted and redirected.
Paul , in Galatia , seeks to carry the gospel and go EAST
into Asia but
the Holy Spirit forbids Paul. HE then goes WEST to Troas. Acts
16:6 -10.
Clearly Paul is in God's will. Why does the Holy Spirit forbid
Paul from
going east ? This is a second example of man attempting to go
the wrong
direction, and being redirected, based on Paul's sinless motive.
Paul is sent WEST to Rome in chains. Acts 28
The tribes of Reuben, Gad, and half tribe of Manasseh select
property on
the EAST side of the Jordan. These tribes disappear from
scripture.
Israel , in rebellion and sin, is enslaved by Babylon and
carried EAST into
captivity.
Daniel , a faithful, devout captive in Babylon , faces to
the WEST ,
toward Jerusalem in prayer.
A believing remnant of Israel in Babylon is allowed to
return WEST to
rebuild Jerusalem and the country.
The Messiah enters Jerusalem from the Mt of Olives. The Mt of
Olives is
EAST of Jerusalem. The Messiah is going WEST.
Around the tabernacle of Israel , note that there are three
tribes
positioned on the WEST. They are Joseph, Ephriam, and Manasseh.
These are
the only three who did not sin against Jacob.
The Gospel of Christianity has moved over the past 2,000 years
from
Jerusalem to Greece , to Italy , to Europe , to the Americas ,
and back
around the earth to Asia.... moving WEST. To the EAST of
Jerusalem is
Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and .....opposition.
There are myriad designs and patterns found in scripture .
These
designs , like
Bible types, the meaning of Bible names in lists (shemology),
complex
Bible numbering systems, Bible wheel designs, and vocabulary
designs,
etc. etc. have all been expounded upon here and also in
such books as
J.J. Blunt's book "Undesigned Coincidences". (long out of print)
